In my experience Pepsi and Pepsi Max are on point with tasting like bottled stuff. Mountain Dew doesn't quite taste like the bottled stuff.

I was going to buy some and just put with some Soda water, to see how it went. These only make 9 litres?
Seems cheaper to stockup on 1.125l bottles for $1.30, drink, and then get 10c back on the bottle.
Great concept though.
It depends on how much syrup you put into it.
I personally only go half the recommended amount because it still gives a flavour I like and I'm happy with using less.
I worked it out… It's actually cheaper with a machine… It's even better when you get one from Spotlight when they have their sales on ;)
Even cheaper when you use a CO2 gas cylinder from Kegland!
