      Thanks Mate,

I've just purchased $500 gift cards at $420 at coles.
I need to run into JB HIFI tomorrow morning and get console and ring fit at only $420….

      Thanks again.

    • -6% if have Lumo rewards jb GC

Will this make a good gift for a 6 year old? I have no idea about the cost of games etc.

    • +1

      hell yeah !

Games if you're patient, go on specials between $35-50 often here for the good titles.

EB Games have clearance on a lot of lower end games from $5-15 at the moment too

Awesome thanks. Gift sorted for the nephew.

        • +7

          very good uncle ↑

        • +2

You are going to be the favourite uncle for like, 5 years at least.

    • Not really as they tend to drop things at that age

  • If the codes are just on a receipt rather than in the box itself, would it be likely Amazon may have a similar offer? Can't recall Amazon receipts having codes…

    • If you hold out until tomorrow, maybe they will? This offer is for Black Friday after all and eBay, Target, JB have all got the offer, you would assume Nintendo would offer it to Amazon too…

    • They make it seem like any Nintendo switch purchase will include it
      https://www.nintendo.com.au/nintendo-switch-and-mario-kart-8…

And then add only Jb HiFi and eb games.

    • Last year some retailers also had a scratch card with the Mario Kart 8 Code on it.

I'm looking at purchasing my first console and playing with the family. Would you recommend this over the Xbox and PS? I spent a few minutes on google searching for "best family games for Nintendo Switch" and it didn't look like there's much beyond Mario Kart?

    • Overcooked is great fun

    • Theres a lot of multiplayer games on the switch.

I'm currently playing Splatoon 2, Streets of Rage 4, Arms, Smash Bros, Luigis Mansion 3 just to name a few that are online/multiplayer.

There is also lots of family games like Mario Party, Carnival games, 51 Worldwide Games, and many more to play with the family.

    • I wouldn't say there is a huge selection (or the best) but definitely more family games than xbox or ps.
Mario kart, mario party, puyo puyo tetris, bomberman, super mario bros, super smash bros, overcooked 1 and 2 and a lot of indie games that go on sale for a few dollars too.
Depends on how old the kids are cause they can be challenging or uneven games.

Xbox one s with games pass would be my recommendation.

Amazon has price-matched (but no confirmation on Mario Kart 8 + NSO yet)

  • Great Deal, thanks OP! Nephews will be stoked.

  • Picked one up too! Paid with 5% off gift card!

    • How to get the gift card?

      • I have access through this https://www.rewardgateway.com/au but several otherwise to get them. They are quite often offered health insurance plans, super plans, union etc.

A quick and easy way is to open up a free Suncorp bank account (only takes a few minutes ) then the gift card can be purchased through the Suncorp banking app

        • Do you know if you can use multiple gift cards when ordering online?

          • @Craigw22: No need to, just purchase the full amount with one gift card?

But if you already have smaller denominations of gift cards I'm not sure sorry.

            • @Slinky0111: Basically I can get $400 of gift cards for $352, but only across 4 gift cards! Can't find anything online to suggest I can use more than one per order..

              • @Craigw22: Where do you get them from? Usually you just buy the one gift card for the full amount(which is what I did)

                • @Slinky0111: When you put in the gift card number did you notice whether it came up with the option to add another by any chance?

  • So tempting. Sold the old switch but wanted to play Age of Calamity but also holding off for the Switch Pro. Argghh

Thanks. Decided not to risk the eBay rush so went JB.

    • Will it be cheaper on ebay?

      • +1

A little bit cheaper for eBay plus members but I was buying on behalf of the gf for her daughter so pressure was on not to miss out.

        • Ur pressure is real.

  • Will kmart , bigw pricematch??

    • I'm hoping for the amazon pricematch with mario kart but maybe kmart and bigw will.

  • Picked it up! Was waiting for BigW and Kmarts deals to come online at midnight but this is even better.

The bonus offer ends 31/12, but its saying the deal ends Friday? I am assuming they mean the price is for Friday only?

  • To all you Switch experts, is the 3 months subscription worth the extra coin over the ebay deal? I have got no idea what this subscription thing is. Thanks

    • ebay deal has the subscription as well, but it basically allows you to play online with mario kart and other games.

      • +1

        Thanks, appreciate your feedback

  • thanks picked one today
