A 1000 lumen pocket flashlight / headlamp, with rechargeable battery.

I have several Olight products. Their lights are fantastic and are solidly built. Their EDC pocket lights are so small (they fit into my jeans coin pocket) that I've forgotten about them and sent them through the washing machine on multiple occasions to no ill effect. I've also dropped them over 5m drops with no issues (other than some light scratches). Highly recommend their products.

  • What’s the run time on them?
    Plan on using for fishing

If you plan to leave it on the whole time the standard Perun may be a better fit with longer runtimes

      Perun Mini

Level 1: 1,000 lumens / 1 minute (then gradually steps down 250 lumens for 85 minutes)
      Level 2: 250 lumens / 98 minutes
      Level 3: 65 lumens / 6 hours
      Level 4: 15 lumens / 25 hours
      Level 5: 2 lumens / 4.5 days

      Perun standard

Level 1: 2000 lumens / 2.5 minutes (then gradually steps down to 600 lumens for 160 minutes)
      Level 2: 500 lumens / 240 minutes
      Level 3: 120 lumens / 15 hours
      Level 4: 30 lumens / 47.5 hours
      Level 5: 5 lumens / 10 days

  • will this light charge and be on at the same time? @prophet?

    • I've not tried that before, tbh. I have the older H2R Nova. Has a very large battery so never had to do so.

As for my EDC, I have the retired S1 mini baton which doesn't use magnetic charging.

    • Just tried this one for you mate, it definitely turns on while it is on charge, but I don't imagine that it is good for the battery considering the science behind how a Li-ion battery charges and discharges. The battery will likely get very hot, potentially shortening it's life span and it's only a tiny battery. Better to have a few spares and swap them out.

  • Is it flood-ish enough?
I am looking for a "wide" work light (not long throw projector).

It has a PMMA Optical Lens (beaded) for a wide flood beam. It's also got bugger all throw and candela so definitely aimed towards flood
