    can you switch gas only? can't see the option online?

    Pretty terrible website, all it asks is you leave your contact information so they can contact you.
    How about just show me the rates so I can decide if I'm interested.

    • +1

      yeah, not upfront at all

      • I just chucked in some dummy info to see the rates. Easy

  • Don't forget to check government comparison sites;
    Victoria Energy Compare or;
    Energy Made Easy for the non-Hookturnistanians.

    for my own (VIC) use it estimated current electricity (Tango $700/yr) and Sumo at $780/yr, and hypothetical for my brother in the Central Coast (NSW) Sumo at $1420/yr vs. ReAmped Advance at $1,230/yr.

    if the 'Australian Owned and Operated' is really important to you as a consumer, Canstar blue lists companies in your state, where again Sumo isn't the cheapest option.

    And looking at those terms, I don't think you'd even get the gift cards in time for Christmas? need to transfer to Sumo and remain active for 30 days to be eligible, surely you're not going to be sent the gift cards on activation, then depending on your region, transfer to a cheaper supplier without fees (check your region).

  • Just pulled the trigger with Sumo, solely due to the current AMEX statement credit offer: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/578109

    The Sumo rates are otherwise unimpressive, at least in my area.

    The $50 OzB referral for Sumo, which can apply for an elec sign-up without gas, is a better way to go than this $25/$50 Prezzee Gift Card offer. (Also helps out another OzB referrer.)
