    • +2

I saw the price and threw them in the cart anyway….will probably release them and try again tomorrow

      • it will be different seller tomorrow I think.
        Harris technolgy sold them yesterday

  • Wow full waited for nothing wtf is $299

  • $299 and was 33% gone when I refreshed page at 0900. Gave it a miss at that price.

    • There was 3 and 1 was sold to someone who didn’t look

  • +15

Amazon fooled the bots with a $50 profit.

    • ^^^

    • +1

The bots wouldn’t check it out if it wasn’t 249

  • Had to pass after seeing $299.

  • How did everyone find the link? I was refreshing but the lightning deal never popped up

    • Was in the main page under lightning deals

    • I just searched Airpods pro and refreshed on 9am, came straight up

  • All gone at $299

  • i refreshed the page exactly at 6, got the lightning deal offer and added to cart. think i'm going to release this one back into the ocean for the ebay deal

    • Could you link me the ebay deal mate

  • Amazon taking a page out of eBay's playbook ???????????????

  • I'd been refreshing every few seconds and it didn't come up with the lightning price at all. What a crock of shit.

  • Even at $299, it is already 100% claimed, and the waitlist is full. 🤦‍♂️

  • 299 today…

  • Got one in the cart, but cancelled - was hoping for $249!

  • $299 ! Seriously Amazon Scam ! Hard Pass !

  • Booooooo

  • I really don’t know how to use the Amazon site. I hate it.
For me, eBay is much more intuitive.

Neg vote me if you agree

  • No location in upcoming deals, had to go to product page, and still it comes up with $299…hard pass..

  • busy weekend for amazon and ebay on a competition to alienate customers

  • Managed to get it in my cart at $299, but I'll give it a miss today.

  • 299, incart. Should I cancel it!

    • cancelled, done

  • scammed

  • wtf. I got one and added to cart but it was $299. threw it back in the pond for someone else. deal is showing as 100% claimed and waitlist full: https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-MWP22-APPLE-AIRPODS-PRO/dp/B…

edit: lol so may people must have thrown theirs back in the waitlist momentarily opened for me and I was able to join it. dropped it again. at $299 no thanks

  • Well that sucked. What’s the point if it doesn’t even show up until deal time, then it’s a mad rush to find the damn thing. And then they didn’t even offer it for the price everyone expected.

  • I cancelled my order 299 isnt even good deal, hope some of you get it from me

  • +2

I guess for the Monday deal, the price will be like $339. WTF, Amazon! You are turning into eBay. 🤮

  • same here, just saw $299 and passed, hope Amazon can horner the refund of the price difference to the $229 buyers.

    • sold by 3rd party thou. this time it's by AZ eShop

      • I've never heard of AZ eShop, are they reliable?

        • apparently 94% positive ratings out of 1569. Should be ok but 299 isn't worth it.

  • the offer wasn't even in the upcoming lighting section

  • Under lightning deals headphones category, it comes up as $249 for some reason

    • +1

It says: "Buy Apple AirPods Pro for $249 (AU version) Starts at 9:00"

When you click on the product link, the price shows up as $299. False advertising much?

      • This might be for tomorrow - usually the lightning deals have been coming up 24 hours in advance and this popped up bang on 9am. It’s in my watch list - fingers crossed!

    • +1

      perhaps it's for tomorrow?

  • +1

This is bs it didn't even show up on upcoming and it only loaded the actual deal on the listing after 4 minutes..

    • same thing happened to me

    • i was on harris tech & it loaded with the lightning deal at 6 on the dot. But I didnt add to cart cause its $299 today for some reason..

  • Got one. Pretty disappointed with the price tbh. Will try again tomorrow.

  • Doesn't look like 299 is worth it so I removed it from my cart. Have fun guys

  • got it from ebay $249

    • +1

      Not today though?

      • 43 mins until drop.

  • $299.

  • Got one in the cart, almost dropped it when noticed $299.
Purchased via latitude credit card and have 12 months purchase protection, if the price dips under that again.

  • +5

Tomorrow deal is already listed at $249 in upcoming deals…24 hour countdown

    • +1

first time i can see the deal ha ha. maybe tomorrow's finally the day for me!

    • +1

      Link?

i wasn't able to view it on any of the previous days…until now!

      • Last time I tried a lot of people still couldn't see it…Go to lightning deals and filter by headphones. Should be right down the bottom as it's only just been listed.

        • do we have to refresh on the dot or can we just wait for the countdown timer to hit 0?

          • @jacksonjackson168: Wait for the timer. When it gets to 0 the Add to Cart button will appear. Managed to grab some yesterday like that

    • what's to stop them from jacking it to $299 or higher this time tomorrow?

      • i guess screen shot the page when the countdown starts and complain to amazon chat IF you get it into your cart/checked out and hope they can sort it out.

        • not worth the hassle, imo. i've haven't found their chat reps made much of a difference like on prime day when my gift card order was mysteriously cancelled, they lied about whether i'd get that $10 credit. then on the last day of my prime trial, every order i attempted was cancelled and it took their "security team" several days to tell me they've "fixed" the error without telling me what the problem was.

      • It's already got the price listed. Yesterday and today technically didn't have any price on the upcoming deal

    • For once it’s showing up in upcoming deals for me…

  • It is interesting, it never pops up under "Upcoming" deals for me (Today or Yesterday).

    • Yesterday showed for me but not today…tomorrow is already there.
Maybe today didn't appear as it's a different seller and price. Who knows…

      • They did not advertise it due to the higher price 100%
so they do not need to honour the lower price

  • Hi guys, get onto live chat. They have issued me a $50 promotional credit. It is not a refund, but better than nothing.

    • did u have it in ur cart?

    • How did you do that? Did you complain that it was false advertising?

    • that still means you have to spend it with amazon, not wherever you would've liked. screw them.

    • Where is the live chat feature?

Contact Amazon Customer Service up the top

        • Just stuck in a "Connecting" loop. I guess they are probably flooded with similar chat requests at the moment.

        • I see call and email customer service but no live chat

    • +1

What did you say to them?

    • They are investigating for me. Hope for the $50 credit.

  • Got offered it on the wait list but passing for $299. Doesn’t seem that good of a deal.

  • Waitlisted, got it, now cancelled it.

  • Rubbish false advertising $299 today. Lightning sale because lightning doesn't strike the same price twice?

    • No they seemingly scammed everyone today. Yesterday and tomorrows price actually is $249… Why was it not today?

      • might be the seller and not actually amazon? sold by AZ eShop

        • Good point. Wasted my morning waiting for this.

    • False Advertising?

The media etc have said they will be $249 amazon have never advertised they would always be $249 when on sale
In fact these were not even in the "lightning deal" list today, you simply had to know they would be on sale and refresh the page at 9am.

They were $100 off RRP (+$29 if you use ZipPay)

  • $299 prob because different seller.
    Yesterday it was Harris technology

  • Grabbed some anyway as I need 2 pairs for the kids and will be busy tomorrow when it goes live so will likely miss out….but will try and grab them and can cancel today's if I'm successful

    • Spare few … LOL ..

      • LOL
Not so much spare but the difference adds up quickly when you need 2 pairs

    • You will not be able to do it again tomorrow
You have already purchased a lighting deal on this product.

You can only access a lightning deal once during a promotional period (in this case Black Friday is the period)

When you look at the product page the lightning deal price will not let you add to cart.

i got mine yesterday at 249 and today the lightning deal had "you have already purchased this deal" under it.
there was no option to add to cart (it was at 20% sold when i looked)

      • +1

I got them yesterday and today no issues

        • Lucky i only needed one pair then cause i would feel robbed if i knew this lol

  • Anyone know if 10% from zippay and shopback work on these?

    • when i had them in my cart with zip pay selected, i didn't see any further discount from the $299

    • +1

You will get 10% back when Zip Processes the payment.
Provided you have not already gotten your cap of $50 back

  • +2

bots prob accidentally checked out at $299 😂

  • +2

Customer service isn't honouring $249 since it wasn't officially published on the Amazon.com.au page

    • Seems to have worked for Mr John Stone here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/9720239/redir

      • I call BS on that.
Amazon would not issue credits/refunds given the price was never advertised.
it was not even listed as a deal in the lightning deal list.
you had to already be aware they would be on sale.
