as usual, I won't be lucky enough to score one lol

    • +3

It doesn't seem to be well advertised, so I'd say your chances aren't too bad!

      • +19

you just well advertised it ;)

  • +3

    Shipping = $10 :(

    • Ah sorry I forgot about that, I'll add it in

  • +1

Got 2 for $200, shipping included. Thanks OP.

    • +1

      howd u get shipping included?

      • No idea, must have bugged out lol

        • I wasn't sure on the shipping but another user said there was shipping. If that's not the case I'll fix up the title :)

          • +2

@Ibz: Oh sorry. I had a free shipping code from a previous cancellation. My bad! Definitely isn't shipping included haha!

    • Shipping included? Did you purchase with something else. Still adds +$9.95 for me
Edit: looks to be sold out anyway

  • +1

    Im seeing it as $145

    • +1

I'm seeing it as 145 but I'm not sure it's just by browser caching it or something

      • Nope $145 for me too. Sold out in 3 mins?

      • +2

it's 145 for me too but it's 99 in the cart. It's sold out anyway

        • Back in stock :)

    • $145 over here as well

    • +1

      It adjusted automatically at checkout

    • It was $145 on product page, but once added to cart, it showed $99 in cart. Anyway, it's too late now.

  • +2

Not the best drive but decent to just store stuff on it

    • Is the 860 evo better than this and why?

  • +1

Cheers mate, 1% surcharge gets it to just over $110 inc shipping for the QVO SSD.

  • already sold out for me :(

  • All gone at 8:03pm.

  • +1

Its out of stock already… you need to put it in the cart to see it as 99

    • Yeah, i was refreshing page but price didn't go down - by the time I tried adding to my cart they were all gone

  • Yep oos

  • +1

damn…didn't realise I had to add to cart to see the sale price….missed out on the ssd

  • lol came here 5 minutes late :(
edit: lol now trying to justify getting a SSD

  • +1

i was about to pull the trigger on 2 of them but then i realized, ughhhh QLC….. I know it's an SSD but QLC for sustained writes is a deal breaker for me personally.

  • +1

added ssd to cart at 8:01 … not enough items in stock to fulfill order. Bullshit sale.

    • Looks like more stock now :)

      • still oos for me

  • +1

guys, the ssd seems to be back in stock. managed to order one less than a minute ago

    • Yikes, shopping express is a mess haha

      • +1

Hahas! Yep, sounds right but I'm happy I got one :)

    • +1

Yep, managed to get one with a few refreshes.

  • +1

I just copped one, was watching whole time and price didn't change then I added to cart and price adjusted

  • No eligible for AC Valhalla redemption

  • I had two heart attacks trying to get it. On first attempt, I couldn't get to checkout (out of stock). Second attempt I got to checkout but when I tried paying it said out of stock. Then third try (out of desparation) I finally got an order confirmation. This Black Friday is so stressful lol

  • +1

Says they don't have enough - even though you can add it to the cart.. so it does seem to be sold out..

    • Terrible design, it should just update the main page

  • +1

Might want to update OP oos.

    • Done :)

  • +1

nice, time to claim back on price protection!

  • +1

Managed to get one at 5:13pm (AWST).
So pretty much exactly 40 minutes ago.

PLE's evga card pricing has ruined the 3070 appeal

    • What do you mean?

      • +1

PLE's evga 3080 card pricing. XC3 black card is only $100 more

      • +2

The 3080 models weren't much more. I got my zotac 3080 for ~1150 delivered. The Evga black xc3 was the same price and the better 3080 EVGA models weren't too much more.

  • +4

    1K for a 3070 -bugsbunnyno.jpg-

  • +2

    Don't pay $1k for a 3070 imo.

  • They have stock of 3080. Is this real? Why isn’t it ooo?

    • +2

Because they're asking $2000 for them, which is way over priced. At msrp, they should be around $1200 for the more basic models.
Hopefully prices normalise once the supply issues are sorted out.

  • This model of 3070 has been the one most prominent on discount and sale throughout this whole weekend. Why is it so pushed?

    • +3

Nvidia assumed that was the card everyone was going to go for because:
—- It's the cheapest one and has the performance of the 2080ti (kind of).
—- The 2080ti was selling for like $1800 for some models, while the 3070 was supposed to be selling for half this price.

      However:
—- 3070's pricing is inflated and has pushed it towards the price PLE has sold some of the 3080s for (kind of, they're mostly unfulfilled preorders at this point).
—- So when you're saying they're on discount, it's still actually very overpriced. They also don't do 4k that well, which is becoming the "standard", since it's marketed so much with the next-gen consoles.
—- So now, some buyers feel ripped off about buying these weaker cards.

      • I meant more of why this exact card, Gigabyte Gaming OC 3070.

        • Oh that. Well, it's maybe the lowest tier 3070 card?

EDIT: Besides the igame AIBs. That one has a really low base clock and crappy OC.

        • I think main reason is because this card and the 3080 from gigabyte has a design flaw. The power pins are done cheaply to save time/money.

"One of these manufacturers is Gigabyte, whose graphics card in the Geforce RTX 3000 series has been shown to have problems with the company’s implementation of the double 8-pin connectors that are mounted on the card. The installation of these power connectors differs significantly from most of the competitors as these are not soldered directly to the circuit board. Instead, Gigabyte uses extension cables that go from two terminals on the circuit board to a junction box in the back edge of the board that houses the power connectors"

          https://tekdeeps.com/gigabytes-geforce-rtx-3000-card-is-pull…

          • @SardineHead: So if your unit isn't broke, it's fine. But it will be more likely to be broke than all others.

            And double 8 pin? It's a 6 + 8 it looks like?

            • @dbmitch: they did a revision but according to reddit people are still getting broken/bent pins. actually, i ordered the gigabyte 3070 eagle for 899 a couple of days ago. hoping it has no issues.

  • +1

    What is OOS?

    • +3

It means Out - of - Stock

  • This or 6800xt for 50 dollars more

    • +1

If you can find the 6800xt for 50 more, then that every day of the week. It's a good 30% faster.

    • 6800xt is more like 4-500 dollars more.
The reference prices were only for the initial batch of very limited stock of reference cards.

      • Not that it matters if they were at reference prices if you can't even find any.

So I received no tracking or correspondence about my purchase with Shopping Express for the SSD. This morning I decided to email them and I received the below response. So they are more than happy to advertise and take my money but not tell me that there is no stock until I queried it? Poor form…

Thank you for your order and payment.
We are sorry to advise that we are not able to fill your order as we are not able to get stock at this time.
Although we did have a committed order with our Distributor they have advised us now that this order cannot be filled with no current ETA.

In such circumstances we believe it is best to refund your order in full.
If you have paid via PayPal Credit Card | Zip payment your funds will clear back in 1-2 days.
If you paid via bank transfer can you please help to confirm back your BSB and Account number?

Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Just noticed my order has been changed to cancelled too :(

    • +1

Yep, mine has been cancelled too :( I received an email this morning that went to my junk folder. Fortunately I managed to grab the $89 960GB SSD from scorptec

    • Ditto. Maybe I should start an online store, advertise a loss leader item at a discounted price and then email all buyers that my distributor cannot fill the order.

    • +1

This sucks heaps. I won't post shopping express deals again with the poor way they've handled all of this :(

    • +1

Just FYI - I've only just received my refund via PayPal today. A week after telling me I would get it within 1-2 days. Definitely not going to order from them again in the future.

  • +1

I also didn't receive any notification that the SSD was cancelled. For my order I actually bundled the SSD with another item which they refunded me only $99 despite keeping the 1% payment surcharge and increased shipping charge.

The irony is that when I raised this problem 2 days back, they had the Samsung 860 QVO 1TB in stock on their website at ~$155. Looking at their site now, it appears that they have pulled this listing to justify why they can't fulfil those orders.

  • +1

I sought compensation from via Fair Trade NSW for non-delivery of goods. I think if everyone reports this case, it would help in forcing Shopping Express to offer vouchers to help cover the lost savings on the SSD deal or at least force Shopping Express to stop this kind of unacceptable behaviour in the future.
