Micro Swiss Direct Drive Extruder 30% off - US$69.83 & US$13.75 Delivery (~A$113) @Micro Swiss

Holiday2020

For Ender printers, Micro-Swiss have a pretty good name for all-metal hotends - and this is their “direct-drive” extruder kits. Not cheap, but if you are into 3D printing…

With the AUD reasonably strong and 30% off it comes in about $113 delivered. Your delivery charge might vary depending on location.

I’d like to support local sellers, but their price is northwards of $A179.

Yes - I just pulled the trigger too. I’m happy with my current printed direct drive and modified Creality hotend, but this was too tempting.

With all the money I’m saving on Black Friday deals, I’ll be filing for bankruptcy soon.

Anyone know if this would suit the Ender 5 plus? That seems to be the forgotten model of their range, I just can't find a clear answer.

NVM found it's a diff model, checking if it's on sale too.

Ender 5 plus has same extruder as ender 3 I believe.

Can confirm that this extruder is awesome!

Literally just bought the ender 3 v2 from banggood

What’s the pros to switching to this hot end?

Works better with flexible filaments as it's a direct drive. Cons are that it adds extra weight to the hot end, which may cause artifacts in the prints if you print to fast, so you may have to slow it down to compensate.

I think only worth if you're going to do ABS
