Was $359 is total crap. $229 all week

    • +1

Don't believe in the shopping express regular price. They are always way over

  • +2

This board was about $249 - $279 for last few months.
Anyway, great price for great board.

In my opinion, for someone who has eBay plus, I believe Gigabyte AM4 ATX B550 AORUS ELITE would be better. The price is AU $191.20(including shipping).
According to the motherboard ladder diagram, B550 AE is the same level as Asrock Steel Legend. And Gigabyte is more famous brand than Asrock.

    • I agree that for the same price, the aorus elite is on the same level. But personally, I'm going for an all white build.

Now to wait till 2022 for that white 3080 vision. lul

    • I recently had to cancel my order for the GB elite mobo on ebay since i just read that they still havnt fixed the USB problem. Also the elite ax with wifi 6 is only like 220 after discount

Got the B450 version for around 170ish earlier in the year, good board and support just misses the heatspreader on the second nvme sata

  • Is this better than the ASROCK B550M PRO4?

    • +6

Yeah. It is. Here is a b550 tier spreadsheet. Keep in mind that prices listed are in USD.

that's a pretty cool list. this board (asrock b550 steel legend atx) interestingly was placed in 'Tier S'. the gigabyte b550 aorus elite recommend in this thread was placed in 'Tier B'. i know little about any of these, im sure either or are good or good enough…

      • This is unrelated to the deal, but do you reckon an x470 with better VRMs and tier etc will be more advantageous over a shittier b550 mobo with gen 4 pcie? My friend is upgrading his setup to a Ryzen 5 3600 and 3080. I feel as though a better quality board will make more difference than gen 4 pcie.

    • +1

      way much better than B550M

    • +1

I would get this if you are willing to spend 20$ more than b550m pro4 and it's ATX board

  • Does this board have bios flashback?

  • This Asrock board or the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX AM4?

I already have a b450 in my other sons pc and it’s been rock solid so was going to get a second for my other boy, is the asrock better other than support for newer hardware? We don’t overclock or run high end cards only a 1660 super

Almost bought this but found a Gigabyte AMD ATX B550 Aorus Elite Wifi 6 for $188 delivered on ebay with the 20% off.

    • +1

      where is this?

Sold out now though. Best to trawl through the listings for a mobo that has 20% off, I'm sure there are some other good buys out there.

The smart home store has them for $220 after discount. (only 3 available though)

Now I just need to wait for my 5950x so I can put in the 128gb ram I bought during BF sales.

        • Does "Gigabyte AORUS ELITE AM4" have USB Type-C?

  • +5

note that this board doesnt support bios flashback - you will need an older gen cpu in order to flash to latest bios

  • +1

Got this with a 5600x, hopefully the bios is already updated and it works out of the box.

    • Me too mate. 5600x ftw!

    • it won't be

  • seems like its been sold out for the last two days
