  • 10900 with bclk 102.8 gets to 4.74ghz allcore, 10850k allcore stock is 4.7-4.8 i believe?

Ironically most of the high end desktop CPU availability and value deals coming from Intel; thanks Clifford.

It's funny to see how the once king is now discounting left and right to compete with Amd's midrange, competition is clearly good for the consumer <3

Yes, it's nice to have competition again! I lost interest in CPU market back when AMD released FX. But now CPU and graphics market is exiting again!

$550 actually makes this reasonable value vs AMD - the problem is that if you want more than 8 cores, you probably want more than 10 as well and the 3900X can be had for $650.

    • Also while the 10900F is $550, you still need to spend an extra $100-200 for a decent cooler as there isn't a stock cooler included. Makes that 3900X look more and more attractive, plus its stock cooler is more than adequate.

Edit: Disregard, just checked and stock cooler is included with the 10900F, should have read the post closer!

Now just need a decent z490 motherboard deal…anyone????

      • Looks ok for the money and nice addition of 2.5g nic. But for another $50-70 you could snag a much better board.

If you needed some RAM too, Scorptec has a good bundle on the 10850k, MSI Tomohawk Z490 and 32gb of Corsair 3200 CL16 RAM which comes to $1034, plus $22 after for their compulsory mail insurance.

Breaking it down $550 for the CPU, $295 for the mobo and $193 for the RAM, comes slightly better then the cheapest these parts have been by themselves.

      • At supplier. With scorptec that could mean anything

        • Ah true, didn't realise they have run out of stock. Given the way the year has been for supply from manufactures, your concerns are probably pretty valid!

Edit: As above, the 10900F also comes with a stock cooler which I didn't realise, the 10850K does not.

  • Was going to go amd but i decided since this is cheap and is 1200 LGA which has announced support of 11th gen, is worth building a pc with. Doubt that it would needed to be upgraded but it's an option if it ever arises.

    Shopback has 10% off atm

  • Is the deal still live? I can't seem get it
