  • Aww man. Bought it for $10 more last night.

  • Any good deal on Ubiquiti AC pro access point?
Wanting to buy this switch and access point.

    • Why the pro over the nano?

      • What i understood is Nano HD is overkill for a house user. Nano is for hundreds of users.
Pro seems better for what i need. Thanks

        • is larger and only about $10 cheaper is all. Slightly worse 2.4 but better 5ghz is my understanding

        • My understanding is that Nano HD is MU-MIMO, and PRO is just MIMO.

If you have a lots of devices connecting to the wireless network MU-MIMO would be the better choice, IMHO.

  • Will this integrate with the UDM Pro controller?

    • +2

Sure all UniFi product will use the UniFi controller

  • I wasn't a fan of this one, don't get me wrong it's a great switch, very powerful, but gets so hot, almost too hot to touch…

    • Just went and touched mine and it was warm but not hot. What sort of load did you have it under?

      • it sat next to the tv, did the Xbox, Fetch, and a poe unifi access point, a bit, but not a lot of load… i ended up mounting it sideways on the side of the tv stand so the heat could escape easier through the side vents.

    • Agree, mine is very hot, connected only 1x ap.

      • Have noticed this as well that these types of switches seem to run hot.

  • Yeah they do run very hot. Got 2x of them at home.

I need more ports. Debating whether to just get one of these and daisy-chain or get a 16 port.

    • I have the unifi 16port poe as well, such a great unit, it's actively cooled, the fan spins up when first turning it on, but then shows down, don't even hear it on a hot day… given the choice I'd get the 16 port, it is quite a bit larger though so you need more space…
