Is this or the S5 Max better?

    • +1

The Max is supposedly better, but also more expensive.

      • +1

The only main difference is a increase in suction power, slightly better battery and a bigger water reservoir for washing floors.

  • +2
    • yea why…

    • Extra filter in the package.

      • I didn't get any extra filter in my package. :(

  • New to this vacuums. I was wondering what model would be more suitable for anyone with Carpet and tiles and no need for mop

    • Dreame D9, i believe, but Gearbite ain't offering anything on that, though people asked alot. Seems a very brutal handling.

  • Just tried it, says code cannot be applied

    • Do you have ebay Plus

      • It says "You already applied this code to an order." for me, but I have no record of buying this offer.

        • Please contact eBay in this case.

          • @Gearbite: eBay support: "you have already redeemed this code PWST91 on this item 123932436002 "Apple AirPods", which makes no sense since that code doesn't apply to that product.

I think eBay probably messed up somewhere.

            • @tekisei: I think they made mistake to messed up with apple airpod code, i have reported.

            • @tekisei: Do they have any solution for you.

              • @Gearbite: They said they will get back to me via email… so no real solution haha

  • this or s5 max?

Rep, any deal for the s5 Max possible?

  • Hey guys, new to those robots. Do I need wifi to use any of them in our house? We only use hotspots when required. Hope someone can help me. Thanks

    • +1

Need wifi to set up App.

      • But can I just give a hotspot with my phone while setting up the robot or does it need to be wifi?

        • Hotspot( or wifi) needed if you want to control your vacuum by APP.

          • @Gearbite: But does it just vacuum without wifi as well?

            • @elhucko: You can use control button from device, but you can not use many features from APP.

              • @Gearbite: Thanks heaps. Is that pretty much the same for all new robots?

                • @elhucko: I thinks so, roborock have very good APP, is would be shame if you do not use their APP>

                  • @Gearbite: I've always used Mi Home app for S5. Should I use Roborock app instead?

                    • @nfr: Use mi home would be fine.

    • I have the Roborock S50 Gen 2, which is several generations older. Essentially, you can initiate a vacuum by pressing one button on the robot, and turn it on/off as well.

The app connects your phone/tablet to the robot and offers features such as tracking its movement live via the map, setting the suction strength and updating firmware, among other things. It also keeps track of cleaning history and battery percentage.

In short, it can clean fine without wifi, but using the app over wifi unlocks many more features.

My S5 is starting to get charging errors, which can be temporarily fixed by hard reset. How about yours?

        • Mine has been fine so far, although I use it only once a week or so. Hopefully it doesn’t affect the longevity of yours.

        • +1

Not sure if you are experiencing the same thing as me. Mine, on occasion (once a week), reverses away from the charging dock and re-docks itself.

          • @asiripong: Yes mine does that too. When that starts to happen more often you might notice irregular charging time, or it would stop charging at a certain level. In my case it was stuck at 59%.

  • @Gearbite is this code only for S6 Pure? Any codes for Dreame D9? Is the 60 day returns applicable if buying thru eBay?

    • This code is for Gearbite. Press20 is 20% off coupon code for storewide, 60 days return is applicable for dreame d9.

      • So 60 day returns is applicable if buying direct and/or thru eBay store?
If it's been used (lightly) still applicable for change of mind? Is it exchange or refund? Thanks!

        • Yes, will apply for dreame d9.

          • @Gearbite: If it's been used (lightly) still applicable for change of mind? Is it exchange or refund?

            • +1

@kjslovs: Yes. Can return for refund.

              • @Gearbite: I returned my F9 and was given store credit instead of refund. I can't use store credit to buy on your ebay store

                • @jamba: please send your order no by Oz message, I will follow up for you.

  • Hmm, i ordered the D9 thinking it was a bit cheaper but had its issues that would be sorted. But you keep dropping the price on vacuums that are known to be at least equal.
Even the S5max has been cheaper than the D9. Maybe i'll just return it with the box sealed.

  • Just bought Xiaomi Viomi V3 a few days ago. Will this Roborock S6 Pure Robot Vacuum Cleaner better than Xiaomi Viomi V3?

  • I ordered the D9,
Should I cancel and go this?

    • Me too, but

      • Yeah from that the d9 seems like the best buy once the software catches up. Hopefully it is well supported.

        • I heard d9 is for Australia only. That's why I was unable to add to Singapore or China (to make it work with Google assist)

          • @hopper: If it is Australia only for forever then i can't see it being well supported. Too small a market.

  • Which one is better ?https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/586840

  • What is an etank compared to a manual tank on t hi is s6 pure?

    • You can control water flow by app for e-water tank.

  • Hi Rep,

As per Australian consumer laws, do we get 2 years warranty on electronics i.e. this vaccum. Please confirm

    Thanks

    • If it is as per law, they cannot deny your claim even if they want to.

      • I don't want to claim, I want to buy but just checking before buying if the warranty is 1 or 2 years.

        Thanks

        • Manufacturer offer 12 month warranty. If you have any problem regarding major failure within 24 months, you can alway contact them or us.
