What is the difference between poco x3 and redmi note 9 pro?

    Which one is the best?

    • +2

Poco X3 has 120Hz LCD screen… Redmi Note 9 Pro screen is at 60Hz

  • +4

Poco X3 slightly more expensive, slightly better camera and has water resistance from what I've researched.

    • +1

Good to see you settle on one.
Ps Just put supplier in title and delivery.

    • And Poco X3 has 120Hz screen

  • this of that famous POCO with nfc?

    • +6

The Redmi 9 pro has NFC. The difference is mainly the screen refresh rate. The higher refresh rate in POCO will use more battery. If you don't game then this is the better option.

      • +1

Thank you for exlpainig the 'higher refresh rate' in plain English.

  • Which region do you choose? EU or other area?

    • +1

      EU version

      • Thanks mate.

      • You will end up with an EU plug for the charger.

  • +1

Thanks, I also cancelled my Amazon order.

  • Anyone had warranty experience with phones from Banggood?

    • +7

From personal experience with Banggood and 2 phones both faulty one was second hand I believe I got, in short they are your worst nightmare to deal with and basically no warranty I ended with PayPal refunding me wish I had seen your question earlier friend.

      • This gave me a 3rd thought, thaks.

  • How long the shipping take usually?

  • Are you sure the total cost comes to $279.15?
I went through checkout and there is GST added on making the total order cost $307.07AUD

    • +1

You have to use the app and no cashback

      • thankyou that did the trick

  • Doesn't look like it has Band 28, 700MHz, No drama for city slickers but probably not suited to anyone traveling through rural areas.
Can anyone confirm please? I would of grabbed it if it had band 28.
    Cheers

      • -1

        Cheers mate,
Guess details from the seller can be misleading, from the Banggood site:
        Model

"Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Global Version (6GB+128GB)

        Network

        2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8

        3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B4/B5/B8

        4G: FDD-LTE B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20

        TDD-LTE B38/B40"

        • The list of bands shown in the post above are incorrect.
For years retailers everywhere have posted wrong info on their phones.
The only resource that can be relied on is the manufacturers website. In this instance it is www.mi.com

  • This one and Poco dont have b28

    • They do. Go to mi.com and check the specs there.
Banggood and Tobys deals always put wrong network capability specs in.

      • Thanks mate. Will check that.

    • +1

Doesn't it depend on China vs Global version? You need to be careful you are getting the global version which should have B28.
Who knows if Banggood get China versions and flash the global ROM leaving you without B28?

      • Yep I agree,
Website is to confusing, I need B28 so will give it a miss seems to hard to confirm the phone has B28. the below from website almost implies exactly what you've said!

"Pay attention to choose the correct version of the two versions to place an order .

If you are from these European countries, including Spain, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Austria, Croatia, Please choose the “EU Version”.

Otherwise, you should choose the “Other Area Version”.

There is no difference between two versions except software."

        • +1

I thought that was to do with EU regulations on advertising or something along those lines, so there is stuff they don't bundle into the OS.

      • There is no China version of this device.

Downside, there is also no Chinese beta ROM, so no weekly updates.

        • +1

Downvoted by someone who knows less than they think they know.

          • +1

@sir_bazz: Misread the comment. Too late to revoke the vote. Bazz is right. Sorry.
"Votes older than 1 hour cannot be revoked"

      • It is global and has b28.

  • +1

Gee how can it be so hard to determine if it has B28 or not? I'd like to know for sure before purchasing.

    • +1

Welcome to the wonderful world of buying a xiaomi phone.

    • You ask someone who has the device and confirmed it already. :)

    • It has b28 and is global.

  • I just double checked the price on gearbest and it is in USD. Ignore it.

  • +1

Just cancelled my order with Amazon as well
    Thanks OP

  • Was gonna get the amazon deal but this is much better. Thanks

  • +1

    Great find, thanks OP!

  • Which is a better phone - this one or the Poco X3?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/587020

    • +1

I'm struggling with this too. They're pretty much the same with the following key differences:
      - Poco X3 - 120Hz screen which is good for gaming, slightly faster, slightly better camera, stereo speakers who would listen to phone stereo anyway?)
      - Note 9 Pro - slightly thinner (0.6mm), dedicated dual sim and sd card, fair bit cheaper (depending on market offers)

      • +2

        Amazon Note 9 Pro https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B088FHGVP5/ref=ppx_yo_d…
        - Cashrewards Deal Today https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/587249
Includes Amazon Warranty could be a good deal.
        Banggood Warranty ??? not local.

        Works out $267.19 - $25. = $242.19

        • That's 64gb I originally ordered but cancelled to get this 128gb Banggood offer.

          • @corksta: Are you going to use more than 64gb if you are just buy an SD card for $10 Phone also comes with local warranty

            • @chrisie: yeh prefer ram for phone apps and sd card for media tbh

            • @chrisie: "Sold by Amazon UK" - How would local warranty work with that?

              • @CosaNoztra: Seeing you bought it through Amazon Au just contact Amazon Au and the will look after you. In typical cases they will send you a free return shipping label, when you return it to Amazon Au they will refund you for the purchase price.

        • Poco X3 has a much better camera though?

  • +1

I've always wonder what BangGood means

  • +1

    I get $325.5

    • Banggood changes prices every now and then

      • That explains it. Thanks

  • +1

the 5G version is just released and it's much more better

    • Great have you got a link please ?

      • +1

no link yet, my friend got it, better cpu, camera is very good at night

        • I'm interested , if you do find a link let me know.
