Flash sale. Three games in one small cartridge. Great price. Get it while it lasts.
Damn thought it was Super Mario Odyssey for a split second.
Everyone is after odyssey
Why? The game is over 3 years old. Forgive my ignorance, I only picked up a switch this Black Friday and trying choose the right games for the kids
Because I only recently got a switch and it is in the top 10.
@FizzBalls: Fair enough. I ask because I'd seen a few comments asking for an Odyssey deal. I've been refreshing Link's Awakening for the last 2 days hoping for a drop. So far picked up Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing and Just Dance 20.
@chriise: Nice, Links Awakening is the other one I want too.
@FizzBalls: 3 more hours of Cyber Monday. Fingers crossed!
$53 from Nintendo Shop apparently lowest price.
Me too but looks like a great game, also depending on your kids ages they won't care if it's three years old.
@onetwothreefour: Yeh based on the comments I'll pick it up if it drops - just wondered if it held it's value particularly well or had a recent update etc.
@chriise: Yeah I didn't really research game prices before I bought but have realised over the past couple of days that good games seem to be expensive regardless of age and even if they are second hand.
@onetwothreefour: Nintendo games stay high even years after release, at these prices if I didn't already have them I'd be buying everything !
who cares if its three years old? You typically only get one flagship Mario title per console generation, they're always great, and Odyssey is it on the Switch.
its far far too easy for veterans of these 3D All-Stars games IMO, but its still a wonderful game. Your kids will probably love it.
Mario Kart is a no-brainer as well, and then Luigi's Mansion and/or Smash Bros would cover a lot of ground.
Not sure if it helps, but my 4yr old loves it. Not sure if he's the norm, but most of it he can do (the more puzzle/control dexterity parts I had to do). He's now just got the hang of Mario Kart, so that's his new favourite though!
I haven't bought 3D All Stars so if anyone has some input whether it's a good buy, please comment ;)
@rompastompa: IMO I don't think 3d allstars is as polished, understandably. Camera angles are a bit painful once you have played the newer 3d marios.
Really regret buying this at launch. Thought it would be much harder to get
Don't worry I'm in the same boat ahaha, I haven't even played it yet!
Use 28 Degrees card with price protection to buy video games - trust me, it's worth it
How many times can you use the price protection per year?
Not sure - but never gone over the limit per year if there is one.
Buying FIFA every year for $68 and claiming when it gets down to $20 is the best feeling as you have 12 months to claim for each item you buy on the card.
@achyd1: Lol that's awesome, and you could have sold it already by then.
@Merlict: Yeah exactly - the game is effectively free because of price protection + ability to sell disc
@achyd1: What paperwork/screenshot do you have to provide?
@congo: Just the invoice of your purchase + evidence of the cheaper price (screenshot works)
Same. Preordered expecting it to be "rare and hard to get".
Probably won't happen for a few years… Product is on sale until end of March 2021 and you'll probably find retailer's are probably going to reduce prices to move excess stock.
Then the market will probably be flooded by people trying to flog it because it is unavailable… Once all that dies down though it may be "rare".
This is why I love price protection! Cheers OP.
Haha same - just filled in the form myself
OMG Amazon I bought this @ $57 3 days ago!! First the Ringfit price drop now this!!
This seems to be selling out faster than BOTW???
Most people already have BOTW and it was cheap on Prime Day as well
A lot of people would’ve got BotW when it was $49 on Prime day just last month. This is the first time Mario All-Stars has been below $50 though I believe.
Haha i was negged for saying the price is dropping since launch.
I upvoted your comment
Mario Odyssey is part of the same sale at $57 for those looking
That's it. No more buying games. My back catalogue is too much. I'll get this game if I finish all the others.
The deal looks good though.
I've been waiting this to be happened.. and finally! Thanks OP :)
in mario 64, have they changed the fact that the princess effectively lured mario to the castle with baked goods and there were no baked goods, but instead required mario risking his life to save her to obtain said baked goods
or is there a PC beginning and ending now?
Nah, she gave him a much better reward but they can't show that.
ah yes, i believe the terminology is "sploshing".
Snatched 1UP :D
Basically guaranteed you can sell this for purchase price now and for a profit after it goes off sale in march.
And don't forget zip pay for extra 10% off.
Anyone buy a copy from Amazon lately and was it sealed?
I bought 3 days ago off Amazon NOT sealed, they never are!
That's too bad, thanks for the info.
Nintendo Australia games are never sealed. 3rd party games sometimes.
Want sealed you need to buy from UK/EU.
@CheapGit: BOTW and Odyssey were both sealed for me when I bought them from Amazon last year (not third party)
@Ethan Bargain-Hunt: More than likely sealed by Amazon and wouldn't have had the official Nintendo seal unless they sent you the UK/EU versions.
@CheapGit: Aha ok I get you now. I was like I remember getting them sealed so you're probably right.
@Ethan Bargain-Hunt: It's a bummer if like some people you collect sealed games.
@CheapGit: Unlikely, it doesn't make much sense for Amazon to seal some games randomly and not others, my copy of Super Mario Odyssey from Amazon was sealed and looks completely legit. Same seal as on my Let's Go Pokemon limited editions, a few first party and indies from EB Games and some sealed Nintendo DS and 3DS games.
If you're talking about having the Nintendo logo on the plastic then yeah, that was UK/EU only, but we still got officially sealed games.
@Hiphopopotamus: If I recall correctly the original Wii was the last console to get Nintendo published games sealed by Nintendo Australia officially, 3rd party publishers do their own thing I guess when it comes to sealing games.
I've purchased games that I know aren't sealed but have came shrink wrapped from online retailers.
Personally I have a reasonable collection of Nintendo games from the GameCube to Switch, even have every WIi U PAL game released and almost all variants for games that came in different versions. With the Wii U only games I have sealed are 3rd Party and imports from UK/EU.
But if you're only buying to play it's not an issue, buying to collect is another whole story.
@CheapGit: I have had games sent to me sealed and some not, it seems to be completely random, Zelda came sealed from Amazon from me but All stars didn't.
These are nintendo sealed too
@freoleo: To add to this My AC and Shield expansion pass edition just came sealed from Amazon, going to be interesting if the copy of All stars does, fingers crossed it does.
@Hiphopopotamus: From memory pretty much all my switch games from Amazon are not sealed, even ones delivered on release day (so it's not returned items). I just bought Pikmin 3 and this was sealed, but to me it definitely didn't look like legit factory sealing (at least compared to PS4 games plastic seal). The quality of the plastic was not very sleek and the seams where it was sealed was a bit rough. So I wouldn't be suprised if Amazon is sealing games, especially if you look at the amount of complaints in reviews for switch games about the cases not being sealed.
@CheapGit: Some are sealed. Mario Kart, Zelda Link to the past, Odyssey have been y-fold sealed for me. Does happen.
@DisabledUser171442: The games are more than likely sealed by the retailer or distributor, products distributed by Nintendo Australia are not sealed.
And that's info from Nintendo Australia.
@CheapGit: I disagree. A target employee told me no games are sealed when I was about to buy Wii U 3D World. I went to EB and got one y-fold sealed.
EB are notorious unsealers. They wouldn't bother sealing just to have staff unseal them to put in drawers. I have bought my fair share of games over the journey. Some Nintendo Aus PAL are factory sealed. There would still be signs if Amazon was doing it later. Some Aus PAL Wii U and Wii games have been full EU disc versions with just Aus classification covers.
@CheapGit: Do you really think stores seal some games and then not others?
Some games do come sealed its just a fact.
@freoleo: No I don't, distributors maybe and like I said before and when I've asked Nintendo Australia before their response is we don't send out sealed Nintendo Published games!
I used to call them to complain about not being able to purchase sealed Nintendo Published games, it's why I don't collect Nintendo AU games anymore unless it's a limited edition or one only released here, like a version of Scribblenauts on Wii U.
Third parties may seal their games and even the middle man distributors may stick a wrap on them, it's not hard and the so called y-fold doesn't mean it was sealed by Nintendo.
Gees enough Collectors have been caught out buying a fake y-fold copy thinking they had a genuine unopened copy lol.
@Frugal Rock I can guarantee the tear strip on your Wii U 3D World game didn't have the Nintendo logo on it which is on Nintendo PAL games.
I think nearly all Wii U disc games are EUR versions replaced with AU classification cover as they generally get Nintendo of Europe to produce the games and ship them over here for ‘assembly’ (coverslip) and distribution. That why on the disc you won't generally see AU classification logo for Wii U games.
Though I can't be bothered going through every Wii U game to confirm it, and I do have every PAL Wii U game, the only sealed ones are non Nintendo published games or Nintendo published games bought from EU/UK.
Anyway I'm done here on this topic, enjoy playing your games as you should but as a games collector (soon to be ex) Nintendo AU suck and I'll be glad when I've finally got rid of all my games and only buying games I might actually play instead of sitting on a shelf never opened ! LoL
Bought Animal and Smash. All sealed
Are some of the ports on Switch have the same puzzle and levels as WiiU games?
For example, is Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze (Switch) same as Wii U?
Need to make sure that I don't duplicates my games.
same games just some bits are touched up
Generally the ports look a little better (higher resolution, longer draw distance) and the controls are modified for the new system.
But no major changes on first party games.
I got caught up in the hype and pre-ordered this thinking that it was going to be rare….
Nintendo wins again.
How many for sale at this price?
Buy now keep it sealed for 10 years sell it to Nintendo fanboy with deep pockets for $300
Amazon first party Nintendo games do not come sealed.
Weird. PS4 and ps5 games from Amazon do
Although I did manage to get a Game & Watch…….
BOTW and Odyssey were both sealed for me when I bought them from Amazon last year (not third party) so it's not the same for everyone.
Edit: someone above clarified that Amazon most likely reseals them.
I always buy first party Nintendo games via Amazon and its always sealed.
Sealed? 99% switch games nowadays comes brand new unsealed. At least here in OZ
with how widespread Switch piracy is ontop of the likelihood it will be listed on the eshop, I wouldn't expect to make a big profit on this.
Even those Game and Watch Mario Bros units that sold out preorders immediately are sitting on ebay for barely above rrp.
Gotta make sure you stay alive for 10 years
If I don't I will leave it to a family member in my will
I'm amazon noob. How do I actually chat to someone?
create a tinder profile, and say your interests are amazon and ozbargain!
it's a winner with the ladies.
wrong site buddy think you're looking for reddit.
On the app you can follow the contact us prompts. But I bought for $57 the other day and they said they do not credit the difference even if it has not been delivered
if it hasn't been delivered you should be able to cancel and reorder.
I’d try again if I were you, hopefully get a different rep. I’ve had the difference refunded or a credit applied to my account several times when the price has dropped not long after purchase.
I can't even get a chat box to open. It just goes to the standard text.
Oh don't worry I found it.
They even followed up with an email..
I am writing this email regarding your inquiry about the price match.

Perhaps a change in policy?
@damunsta: I think it is pot luck could depend on the person you get.
Not worth the effort to return it for me personally.
Just when I thought I should stop buying switch games for now (spent too much) this came, oh well managed to snag one.
Game over Boys and girls
Really enjoying playing Super Mario Galaxy again after all these years, and it looks great.
