25% off at DJ yesterday, since I’ve got the original one I’ll pass this time, surely this would be dropped further as most AFOLs have got already, similar situation to Taj Mahal.

    • sir you want to go see Taj Mahal ?

      • +3

I've seen it. Been inside it. It's not that great to be honest.

Wait in a long line outside. Then you walk inside a dark mausoleum (because that's what the Taj Mahal is) and exit outside to a dirty river with barbwire fencing.

I'm waiting on the re-release of the ship in a bottle they are doing soon…

    • I'm like Aust diversifying away from China with Lego and %^ I have found some great stuff with amazing historical prices appreciation .

    • You have the original Saturn V!?!

      • Yes he lives at the Johnson Space Center

    • How much was the DJ yesterday?

For anybody (like me) who was wondering what changed between 21309 and 92176… apparently it's one 2x4 plate at step 306 that was swapped for a different one.

Will it survive re entry into earth

      From the article:

It’s hardly a massive change, and probably not one that justifies upgrading your original rocket.

Rubbish! Recycle the old one for parts and buy this, or your not a true Brick Fanatic.

this and the diff number will always ensure 21309 sells for a lot more than 92176.

also, historical low of 21309 was $99 (MYER)

      • You must be new to Lego. Would you pay more for the OG Taj Mahal?

        • +1

And yet 21309 still sells for 250 on ebay so 44 is still right.

    • I'm impressed with the extra printing for the new number :)

I love the Saturn V. I haven't built Lego much since I was a kid but I bought this a couple of Christmases ago and found it a bit disappointing. Lego use to fit perfectly. My copy had loose bits like some cheap knock off. I didn't get the glue out but boy was I tempted. Most of the internal structure of the main rocket was just a mash up of Lego parts that had nothing to do with the real Saturn V structure. I could just be expecting too much. It's still together in the corner, but if I move it, even carefully, bits fall off.

    • 1 year I went to brickvention and this was ( or the old number ) one of the sets stood out to me there .

Most of the internal structure of the main rocket was just a mash up of Lego parts that had nothing to do with the real Saturn V structure.

I don't think it would be feasible to do proper internal detail at this scale as a 'complete' model.

  • Good they got it back in stock, I was waiting for Amazon to match but they never did, then it still sold out anyway. Looks like an awesome set.

  • Gah, I paid $149 for this just two weeks ago in the last deal 😠

  • Cheers for the heads up about the $10 newsletter!

  • Thanks OP, got it down to 118 with $10 off and Kmart staff discount (only 5 percent…)

  • Ordered one. Thanks!
