110

ASUS is giving $100 cashback (in the form of a Prepaid MasterCard) to anyone who purchases select ASUS laptops (eligible laptops visible here ) plus a chance to win one of 15 cash prizes worth between $250 and $5000.

In addition, if you post a review of your product on productreview.com.au you will receive either a TUF Gaming Headset or Cerberus Headset (first 150 entrants) or a $20 Prepaid Mastercard.

The product must be purchased from an authorized retailer (visible here ), but the list is quite extensive.

You will also need your laptop serial number, so you can't enter until your laptop actually arrives, but you can only enter with 14 days of the purchase, so be sure to get that fast shipping!
Good luck!

  • What are the chances of winning the $5k ?

      Buggered if I know - per their website they have 15 up for grabs but I don't know how many people will enter - probably not a gigantic amount so if you were planning to buy an ASUS laptop soon, now might be the time!

      probably better than eBay Plus flash sales

    • 15 out of the total number of entries

  • I read it as 100% cashback first and I was so ready to get my bargain of the century. Sadly not today.

  • no chromebooks :(

    • Could be because $100 would be a substantial percentage of the price of most Chromebooks - i.e. it's 20% of the price of a $500 Chromebook, but only 4% of the price of a $2800 G14.

  • Thanks OP - got a G14 from TitanGear this morning but can't seem to find them on the list even though they're supposedly a reseller?

    • +1

      Yeah - not sure if it will fly because they aren't listed on the 'select resellers' list, although the list does include "All other Australian retailers that stock the Participating Products and display material advertising this promotion."
      Maybe try messaging TitanGear and seeing if they are 'advertising the promotion'?
      You can select 'other' in the retailer box on the promo website - maybe just give it a shot anyway.

      • Yep, you're right. They just responded to my message on eBay saying they are not part of the promotion. If I knew I would have bought it from ComputerAlliance instead for $50 more :(

    Attention: I have gone back and read the T&Cs, and there are not 15 $5000 prizes up for grabs: there are instead:
    (i)$250.00 – four (4) in total to be won;
    (ii)$500.00– four (4) in total to be won;
    (iii)$1,000.00– four (4) in total to be won;
    (iv)$2,500.00– two (2) in total to be won; and,
    (v)$5,000.00– one (1) in total to be won.
    Not made very clear by the site. Sorry.

  • How come with any cashback promotion, only specific retailers are eligible? Do all other retailers source the products from illegit sources? I once bought an ASUS monitor during one of their cashback promotions for $40 cheaper than the competition. It turned out I wasn't eligible for the $100 cashback so I ended up paying $60 more in the end.

    Bought 14 inch vivobook, not part of the promotion :/

    • same here was trying to claim for the 14inch Vivobook on amazon

  • Here is an example, the G14 at Harvey Norman $1754 after cashback. Even the couple of Strix models they sell are also included.

      That's the lowest spec G14 you can get though. Probably worth paying a bit more to get a better CPU and GPU.
