Just curious as to why you would pick this over say the recent deal of G.Skill Ripjaws V 32gb kit (2x 16gb) for $161?

All I can see if a slight speed increase

You wouldnt. Whoever is buying this is buying it purely for aesthetics.

Better off getting the crucial ballistix, better timings and better price, even at full price. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083V93HJG/

OP is running a Haswell-E/Broadwell-E CPU which will run better with a quad channel memory kit.

      • Get 2 kits of this, was prime day $76 but even at full price $140, its cheaper than this deal… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083V93HJG/

Hence why I didn't pos vote this for the price.

But the quad channel kit will offer better compatibility. The dual channel kit is programmed with XMP profiles targetting later chipsets and may not even boot on the X99 platform due to incompatible subtimings (not to mention frequencies). Also running twin dual channel kits doesn't guarantee they were manufacturered with the exact same components/programmed with the same XMP profiles.

        • any other 3600MHz c16 deals?

@abuch47: Black friday didnt net any sales unfortunately. I think with the 5000's and everything, theres a RAM shortage too.
