Tyre Repair Kit $25
It appears to be a quality tyre repair kit. (I have previously had a cheap one that bent) I have ordered it myself. Below has links to other 4wd camping style items.

  • interesting name for a brand

i'd be more likely to buy if it was called Mean Mother-in-Law :p

      • but that would likely fail when you need it most. eg a sudden brake situation.

$15, less online. I assume most people already have pliers and a knife. Especially in a 4WD.
I'd prefer not to have the bulky plastic case.

These are for quick & bodgy repairs, not supposed to be permanent.

    • even cheaper on ebay, can get a set for ten bux, i got metal handle peices for that price.

      • wisc - have you got a link to one of these

        • sorry not cheaper with postage, its 1 dollar more than the supercheap ones… but much cheaper than the OP… i got metal handles because i broke my plastic ones the week before.
meant the plastic handle ones are about 10 on ebay.

thats the one i bought, looks like they sold out though.
(should be a new link somewhere?)

  • Thats the one that I bent previously. It is cheap though I agree.

  • KCI Ezywrench at $59 (inc postage) ..Bargain.

These are the best of the 12V impact wrenches. Will get stuff off that breaker bars won't. Been sold around the 4WD community for years..nuff said about what they can do.

Chalk another win up to OzBargain :-)

    • I am not familiar with these. Now I have to decide how much room have I got for extra stuff

  • Have any of you guys actually tried repairing a tire with one of these kits before? It's not as easy as you think it'll be!

    • erm, yes it is, i've repaired more than 10, about 7-8 on my bike alone, then a few on the cars. cars are a little harder, just need to use a little muscle.

      • A mate of mine has used his a lot. Certainly the one I bent indicated how much force you have to use.

        • apparantly you need to feed them in on an angle, think i didnt when i busted my first one… shame it lasted quite a few years too.

        • For cars it's really quite hard. You need both strength and technique.

        • also make sure the hole you punch is big enough.

The kit includes "1 x reamer tool" - that's what Harvey Norman use to set their prices with, right? ;-)
