GoodSync is on my wish list. wink

    • which date is this free to claim?

      • +1

        It's not on this list.

    • +2

      Resilio Sync is free

      • +3

        Freemium from what I understand.

Syncthing and GUI clients like synctrayzor (windows) and syncthing-fork (android) are highly recommended by me. Free free, not freemium, and great at traversing firewalls etc.

Seems like yesterday when Buffer Underrun was causing so much headaches. I haven't burnt a disc in years :/

    • +12

Technology has come a long way. I bought the very first version of a CD-writer at the 1x speed that took about 60mins to burn one 700mb disc, which cost me $1500. I had to stop and think when I wrote the disc size just now since we are so used to GB and Terabytes. And you needed a SCSI hd to make sure you didn't get the buffer underrun lol one disc was $25-30. Took me three failed first attempts to get it right. :( A different world.

      • +1

yeah i look back and i realised i was a spoilt brat back then when i got my parents to buy my a CD-Writer at the 1x speed. Blank CDs was so expensive it wasnt really worth it as it was also easy enough to get buffer underrun errors and you needed a SCSI HDD. I actually only burnt about 10-15 CDs with that unit before i upgraded to a faster one with less issues and a lot cheaper.

        Nice story grand pa!

        • +5

Lol I bet I look younger than you. You are assuming I was an adult when I did that. Don't forget when REAL nerds start. Not the pretenders of the current generation.

Made a lot of money at high school with my Compaq 4x burner set up.

      Remember Nero Burning ROM?

      • You can get it here https://www.nero.com/ena/

Nah, alcohol 120% …. for burning USB stick ;) literally…

        • I use real fire for burning USB stick…literally

  • +4

shame you cant add it to your account. Having to install each one and register it straight away makes it problematic.

  • How do you obtain the license? All the versions seem to want money?

  • +16

I honestly feel like there's a better free alternative to most if not all of these products. Bit of a hassle if you have to install them all to register if you want it too.

  • +3

WinX MediaTrans is only a 15 day trial licence.

      Hi,

It seems there is some kind of misunderstanding about the giveaway license and I'd like to explain it clearly. As stated in the .txt document included in the zip file of WinX MediaTrans, the giveaway license should be registered before December 13. After successful unlock, the giveaway copy could be used and kept persistently, but formatting/replacing the hard drive or reinstalling the whole system will make giveaway license invalid (this is done to protect the benefit of our customers who purchase the lifetime full license). Hope you could understand our standpoint. Thanks!

Please let me know if there is any question about the software. I'm pleased to help all the time :)

      • +2

Sorry you got so much downvote. But why the giveaway licence is treated differently to lifetime full licence? I don't actually understand your standpoint. Cheers.

Edit: I'm guessing you want people to install and launch the program, call the mothership before Christmas?

Most companies just giveaway one version of the program and if you want latest updates or tech support you need to pay to buy full license.

Are you no longer doing any updates or support for your products? This is why people buy them normally.

  • +22

This seems like bloatware that I would pay to uninstall from my pc XD

    • +2

Probably the type of software that gives you those popups in the bottom right telling you to buy their other software at reduced price even though you are a paying customer.

  • +9

These are all pretty terrible software options that I wouldn't want to install.

  • Where's the PDF editor?

    • The PDF editing tool will be avaible for free on December 13. Please stay tuned!

    • +2

The lite version is not so much of an editor.

  • FML…. I've wanted WinX DVD Ripper for a while now! Damn front page deals! :(

Anybody that doesn't need their copy that just claimed anyway, I'd love if I could get a serial key.

      8/12
      …..
      25/12

      sorry for my mistake T_T

It's been ages since I've installed licensed applications. There's generally some open source alternative out there. May not be as pretty, and lack a few bells and whistles, but they do a good job.

https://alternativeto.net/ is a good site to find alternatives.

IMO, don't fall for any anti spy or malware app/software and stick to windows default security. I have seen it has improved a lot over the years, especially with win 10 incremental security updates. Unless you use your system for business purposes where you daily play with customers' money etc, it's recommended to buy reputed antivirus security software like bitdefender etc.

    • +1

I agree in part about Microsoft security stuff getting much better, but there's still something to be said for Spybot Search and Destroy (just using the immunize function and uninstall any background services, and spyware blaster is another good immunize only app. These both block thousands of potential threat sites through the magic of DNS host files, among other tricks. Just make sure you're getting them from the legit sites.

Oh, and don't install just any software just because it's free. Like most of this stuff. Lots of potential for spyware doing that.

      • Yes, spybot could be a good one, never used it though. However I'd still prefer to use a browser default anti phishing/spyware apps. I use Edge/Firefox spywares are blocked like pro never had any issue with it.

    FYI:

WinX MediaTrans is the equivalent to DearMob. It’s a great alternative (and easier to use, in my opinion) to iTunes.

    • Thanks for your appreciation! We will keep improving the software to provide users with better experience :)

  • The best thing about this list of software is that it's not required for 99.5% of the peeps out there.

  • Why is it text edit plus today instead of anti-spy?

    • Hi, the giveaway of Anti-Spy is rescheduled on December 17th upon the request from its developer. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

I just showed this deal to my tech friend before i give them my email id and download the software. Guess what he said

"Hey this Digiarty is a Chinese company and most of the freebies in this list is owned by chinese except audials(which is German if my memory is good), if i were you i will better stay away and protect my data."

So guys take care before you get anything free or paid from these Chinese companies.

Also mods see this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/182218/nodes the user is actually spamming the entire Ozbargain almost every month. With same set of software WinX
