Reading latest Big W catalogue and noticed they had the AirPods in it, not the best price compared to eBays (good luck) $99 deal, but better than full price. Officeworks will price match as well for an even better discount.

Does not start in store or online until Thursday 10th December.

EDIT
Does appear to be 2nd gen with charging case as the Big W website only shows that version, the price also matches

I’m pretty sure it is wireless going by all the info OP included.

        Edit: NOPE

  • I have failed to see the appeal of airpods. Im not here to bash people that use them but I genuinely dont see why people buy them? Is the sound quality that good for the price? Also they look like you have something dripping out of your ears.

    • When I first heard about AirPods, I was like you. Then I won a pair and they’re actually really good. Sound is decent, call quality is great. Not only that, I use them at the gym, and they don’t fal out even when doing treadmill

    • The sound quality isn't the greatest, but it's still good. The real power i think comes with how easy it is to pair with your phone and use siri etc. I've got Jabra Elites which i love, but have to admit they don't work nearly as well interacting with or making phonecalls than my wife who uses iPhone+Airpods+iWatch.

      • Also Left bud / Right bud work independently, whereas many others (Jabra Elites included) only the right pod works independently. You can ping them with your phone and they make noise in case you lose one. They show up on "find my iphone" app if you lose them. My wife dropped one in a carpark getting in the car without realising and it showed on the map exactly where it was for her to drive back and find it.

When you say wireless charging case, do you mean the case can be charged wirelessly? Because it says the charging case is charged via lightning not wireless.

    • You are 100% correct, I will make that revision, their disclaimer footnote 1, implied a wireless case but appears to be more talking about the earbuds themselves. Quite confusing. Thanks.

      • No worries. Also another option would be the usual OW price beat at around $10 cheaper.

    • There are two model. One called "with charging case" need to be plugged in to charge. Other one called "with wireless charging case" can be charged wirelessly using any wireless charger.

      • That's correct. And this one is without wireless charging case.
