[PC] Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Deluxe Edition - A$14.83 @ Steam

100

A weekend deal for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Deluxe Edition (which means it is cheaper than the standard edition). At the moment the deal is 67% off at $14.83 AUD and I believe the deal finishes Thursday, December 10th at 5 am. The original price is $44.95 AUD for the deluxe edition and $29.95 AUD for the standard edition. The Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition are also 60% off at $32.78 AUD and $51.98 AUD respectively and the deal finishes at the same time.

  • Should get back into this game but the amount of new agents since I last played is gonna make my anus hurt.

Maps reworks as well mean all my sneaky peek spots are redundant :(

  • Is it worth to start playing this game now or is it too late?

    • no idea, im wondering the same thing

  • I've always wanted to get into this game. Sounds interesting but it seems there's a high learning point? Also I heard the community can be quite toxic?

I've been playing Siege for about a month, and previously I've been playing Overwatch for about 3 years.

From my experience, Overwatch has much more toxic/tilted/salty/immature players. On Overwatch, unless I am in a group with IRL friends, I am never on Voice Chat. Even the team chat, people lash out at you, particularly random team mates. In Siege, I am always in Voice Chat with my completely random team, and so far it has been great. People are nice, crack jokes, and try and give good callouts.

Overwatch is much more approachable and forgiving to learn. You can mess around with heroes, learn their abilities, run around, die, respawn. etc. Siege has no respawn, and because of destructible environments, you might be just walking around, and someone shoots you through 3 small wall holes in a straight line through 2 whole rooms. It is unforgiving. I found Siege much harder to learn, but it's very refreshing coming from Overwatch.

I would definitely recommend playing it at this price.

Thanks for the insight. Guess I'll give it a shot. At $14.83, it seems to be a good deal.
