TCN The Card Network - Dodgy Gift Card Provider?

I'm beginning to get nervous about the status of my restaurant gift cards. So I bought a few giftcards thinking I would be able to use it at any restaurant/cafe, and initial test shows that it is accepted anywhere, maccas, tavern, and even bubble tea places.

Recently they've done some update that excludes fast food and quick service restaurants (I'm assuming takeaway restaurants) even though when I bought the card, it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the card. New cards apparently shows this condition.

Previously you can also transfer your physical giftcard to mobile wallet so places that can only tap instead of swiping you can still use the card but now it appears that the option has been removed.

I've tried contacting them on the phone only to be told to leave a message and they will call you back. I've also contacted them through their contact page on the website and it's been 2 days and I haven't heard back from them.

Anyone else having issues with TCN especially the restaurant card?

    Also they took away the option to add the cards to your app / Apple Wallet / Google Pay. You used to be able to do that.

    I feel I will keep my cards, I can use them at my go to Thai and Viet so I'm happy with them

      You can use them, at the present time.

      Who knows what will happen in the future with TCN or the cards it has issued.

    My card very clearly calls out not valid at Fast Food or quick service restaurants.
    Secondly, my friend got offered a refund straight away because they bought to use at KFC.
    I guess either
    1. you are happy to use it at a Restaurant that isn't fast food (as per what the card states)
    OR
    2. you get a refund which they seem more than happy to provide

    I don't see the issue.

      The problem is we have no idea where these cards can be used, and places which were able to be used, now decline.

      The above is us trying to guess where we can use it based on provider codes.

      Hello, Member Since 24/11/2020. It's very good that you and your friend are happy.

      Others, however, seem to be having quite serious issues with this card provider.

          Yep, you are correct—The Card Network has been on a mass deleting spree again.

          I have taken many scores of screenshots and will happily forward them to the ACCC if required.

    I can't redeem my restaurant gift card. In the app, it keeps throwing a 'This activation code does not exist' error! Anyone else have this problem?

      Looks like tcn waited until the dust settle down and start roll them on again, may be they worry the usersssssssss bombard their system by using it right away after purchase.

    My card worked at Maccas again today after not working last week. Now I wish I bought more cards when it was on sale.

      Until it doesn't work again and you'll regret buying more.

      I have found a few restaurant places, and have already paid for the banquets in advance (whilst they can still be used), thus exhausting my gift cards.

    Confirmed I can use
    19/12 : San churo Eastgarden westfield
    20/12 : Subway and Fish&chip shop Roselands mall
    $50 now all gone, another $450 to go :)

        I think so. Now I have another problem with Blackhawk gift card. The card called eat.
        In the front of the card, has sushi hub logo but card doesn't work there. Annoying
