If you're after extremely high value flat/neutral closed backs, this is it, and a record low for local or internationally-sourced stock. For music listening, you'd prefer the AKG K371, but for the more budget conscious, that's a $70 step up. These should be solid for gaming if you have a separate mic.

Comparatively, the K361 has less bass and pitchier treble than the K371, due to it basically being a K371 made out of cheaper parts (and possibly drivers that didn't quite make the cut for the K371).

    Do you have a point to make? Is it the rating?

    Read the review (which is for the higher model, not the one in the deal) to see that the reason is because they think the comfort and consistency of fit is an issue, but that's the trade-off between keeping bass quality high while maintaining a seal. But the subjective ratings of comfort are hilarious given how they rate the ATH-M40X and ATH-M50X, which are uncomfortable and have the most closed-in presentation of music you can expect from closed back headphones.

    I could go on a long spiel here about how RTings don't really analyse how a driver performs in terms of speed (attack, decay) amongst their analysis of soundstage and their idea of ideal frequency response without regard for resonance within the headphone build, but here's a counter-review to your quick google:

    The sound quality is top tier for this price point, and the only 'expert' opinion you're going to find recommending the Audio Technicas over these is literally RTings.

    Rtings is useless when it comes to music devices they are pretty clueless. Tech, sure but audio definetely not
