  • That’s a ripper deal!

    • these arent brushless… further ask yourself if you want to get in the B&D family…

        I’ve got a b & d drill. Not a hammer one though. I can’t complain about it. It’s been faultless

      • Got a few of their things. 36V Whipper Snipper - is excellent. Gets used heaps. Auto feed line is one of the best I've used.

Also have their blower, Jigsaw and Circular saw and zero complaints. Have had them all for at least 4 or 5 years and no issues.

  • These are ok for DIY use, although the chuck is plastic and the construction feels a bit cheap.

There is an arguably better deal at Kmart for $99 B&D drill and impact driver combo.

Ah….. black and decker. A great brand in its day until it was bought out by Stanley, purveyors of all things cheap and nasty.

    • These are most likely just a cloned DeWalt, same company

he battery MIGHT be e same

      • Same batteries, same slots. Different notches. So they can't easily be inserted unless hacked.

        • If only there was a tool you can use to remove that notch…

          Hmmm

          • @tonyjzx: A dremmel will do it. Except you might lose the ability for the battery to latch onto the tool properly :)

  • Black and Decker is surprisingly good if you're only looking for diy

  • Love my B&D matrix system. Had it for over 10 years now for DIY and its been faultless (trim saw and impact attachments are used most). Added the 18v hedge trimmer and blower from Masters, and then nabbed a whole extra matrix kit around 5 years ago with all the accessories and two batteries from Catch for $120 for a whole spare system. Haven't needed it yet.

    • I have the same unit, just stopped working last week when I used it to wall mount a TV. The part where you can reverse the drill seems to be locking up and cannot be pushed to the end fully.

      • That can happen if the attachment isn't on properly as that slider locks out when there isn't an attachment on. Have you tried with other attachments? So you can't get it to slide into forward or reverse as its stuck in the middle yeah?

        • That's right, still works with other attachment but the drill locks up the slider, I can only pull the trigger halfway.

          • @johnyBgood: Ah okay. Yeah without an attachment it locks the slider and trigger to halfway. So it looks like the drill attachment has worn away or broken the tab that unlocks the mechanism. Unless there is debris in the drill attachment causing it.
