This has been posted as a deal a few times before and now the International Version from Banggood's AU warehouse is on sale for a low price. According to Yeelight this is confirmed to work with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and IFTTT. There's also RGB lights ontop that'll reflect adjustable colour to the ceiling.

    It would require one if you were to have a licensed sparky install it. If Xiaomi Australia or Yeelight Australia was to sell this then they'd be required to get RCM certification and I know they're already selling some of the other ceiling Yeelights here.

          @Clear: I have seen similar lights but not RGB/Smart. Some are dimmable but that is it.

  Installed mine above the kitchen island bench, looks the part and does a good job if not a tad too bright for my intended purpose.

  Well worth getting the optional dimmer switch which connects via bluetooth;

    if it works with alexa you wouldnt need this. With my lifx lights, i say "alexa kitch lights 30%"

      More functions with the actual dimmer switch which you would otherwise need to do with the app.
      You can can both cycle through the tone of the main light and change the colour that is projected on the ceiling.

      Dimmer switch is very responsive too..

    Can the colour temperature of the downlight also be changed? Cool to warm?

      Its an RGB (Red Green Blue) light so it will have any colour you can think of
      bright white, cool white, warm white etc.

        I can see the uplight is RGB, but it does not show anywhere that the downlight is also RGB.

            @salem: Thanks, read that but every photo and the videos show the downlight as white and the uplight as different colours, so don't know if the description applies to both?

            I replied to @cristobaljames as they actually had the light and could confirm.

              @petestrash: The light projecting to the ceiling can be changed via app or the wall controller I linked previously.

              As for the brightness for the aforementioned feature I believe it's the one setting and isn't that bright to begin with, more of a subtle effect.

              I have managed to turn off the ceiling light too with the wall controller but couldn't find that feature on the app?

              I don't use the app so rely on the wall controller and the occasional google company from my nest hub

  I have 2 installed, beautiful pendant and great color control via Mi Home app, not so great integration with Google Home nevertheless, very limited control available through Google.

  Would also recommend getting a Yeelight Bluetooth Wall Control Panel to go with it for daily on/off, day/night mode change without using the app.

      Yup both the ambient light (uplight) and the pendant light (downlight). Installation was a breeze too, according to the electrician who came and installed 3 pendants

          @salem: I'd like to know as well. I'm planning to order but wondering if it will void the warranty in my new house. Any inputs would be appreciated. Would sparky be able to install this and provide compliance certificate?

            @vjoz: An electrician cannot provide compliance certification because they are electricians and not certified product testers. If the product has not gone through certification and passed, there is no certificate.
