Personal Information When Selling a Used Console

My ps4 got the blue light of death so I bought a new new one and am looking to sell the broken one 'for parts only'. I am concerned that I haven't had the opportunity to clear the hard drive or that someone might be able to access my personal information so I have changed my PlayStation password that I use on the new console. Is there anything else I need to consider before selling it?

You could remove the hard drive and reformat it on your PC, using something like a USB to SATA adapter

Salt the console to remove negative energy

  • Maybe remove the HDD.

    • Spoilsport!
