Fantasy Book Box: 20 Books for A$100 ($5 Per Book, Original RRP $400>) + Free Delivery @ The Book Grocer

170

Hi all. We just put together our first all Fantasy book box, with an original RRP of $400+, and figured you might like the heads up :) There's a full book list available when you click the link, and it works out to be $5 per novel.

Could be good for Christmas gifts, or to keep for yourself if you're a big reader. We do have other boxes on the site, sorted by various genres/themes, and all are heavily discounted from their RRP.

All our boxes ship for free from Melbourne. In terms of postage during the Christmas period, it's difficult to say with absolute certainty but we are expecting that we can get deliveries to you within 5 days if it's to a non-P.O. box address. Deliveries to P.O. boxes are done via Aus Post, and they're having some delays at the moment so we'd say expect those deliveries to arrive post-Xmas.

I am affiliated with the store so let me know if you have any questions and I'll try get them answered ASAP :)

  • There's books in some of the boxes that don't appear on the site. Will they be listed separately?

Good question. The books that appear in the box but not on the site are instances where the full run of that book has been put aside for these boxes, and so we aren't selling those particular books individually.

kennyd6, have just had word that it's likely that some of those unlisted books will be put up on the website later this week.

Great idea. Not into fantasy. Hopefully do a sci-fi box ?

  • Interesting idea. Just not too sure about the quality of this particular set. I'm not familiar with most of the authors even though fantasy is my preferred genre. I looked up a few titles, some are available as budget e-books, some as mid price paperbacks.

    • If you're after some bigger names, maybe our SciFi/Fantasy box would be more up your alley? Obviously that does depend on if you're a sci fi reader as well as a fantasy reader though! https://www.bookgrocer.com/p/stay-at-home-specials-sf-fantas…

I don't want to distract from the concept. Books in Australia are so expensive it's good to see some options.

      • Im not sure its a good idea throwing in books that are part of a series - ie second stage lensman by EE doc smith is like book 5.

  • These are for adults?
    Any for teens?

    • Hi congo, yep we do have a Young Adult box that is geared more towards teens! It actually includes 22 books for $100, although is a mix of fantasy, sci fi, fiction etc. Here's the link if you want to check it out: https://www.bookgrocer.com/p/young-adult-young-adult-bargain…. Only 4 boxes left at the moment, though hoping to restock in the near future.

    • Keen to hear if anyone knows of these books/authors as I don't recognise a single one as mainstream fantasy. Not that it matters if the authors/books are good… but i suppose i'm generalising based off initial thoughts.
