Only 5 cents above its lowest Amazon price according to CamelCamelCamel. Delivery is a few days even in metropolitan Melbourne, so rather than wait I ended up price matching it Dans earlier today (currently $67.90 at Dans here).

At present, Cashrewards has 6% cashback on Amazon ‘Wine, Beer & Spirits’, and Shopback also has 6% cashback on Amazon ‘Alcohol (Includes Wine, Beer & Spirits, Pre-Mixed Drinks)’.

Edit: The page now states “Temporarily out of stock”. You can still order, but it might take a while longer to arrive.

Good gin. Try it with Geraldton Wax flowers and some good quality Indian tonic.

Go Four Pillars at a similar price point. You won't be disappointed and it's Aussie!

  • Too sweet for my liking

Is this good for Gin and Tonic?

What's a good cheap gin for gin and tonic?

    • +7

It is, but a mid-range (price wise at least) one. A good cheapie imho is Beefeater it's a very typical London dry. You could go Gordon's but it's nothing special. Honestly, I generally find it worth the $ to just jump up the $10 for a Tanqueray. Many like Bombay Sapphire but I'm not a fan. ROKU is also great!

Don't go the retail overseas alternatives, people go nuts for these in other countries. Aussie too. Guaranteed winners there

All great choices - I'll throw Mchenry in there as well as another great Aussie maker. Their federation gin is fantastic.

‘Cheap’ is a subjective term, but I agree with @gheygan ’s recommendation of Tanqueray as a good, affordable gin. It isn’t currently near its lowest price on Amazon atm (see https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B006I1M8ZU ) and is currently $42.90 at both Dans and Amazon. If ever you’re looking for a nicer drop, Hendrick’s, the Botanist, and Sud Polaire (an Aussie gin) are all nice.

I just had gin & tonic with the Rokus gin and it was very nice. But its not a long term solution since Rokus Gin normal price is around $65 but I got it for $45 special

If you're mixing with 2/3 tonic anyway, one school of thought is to go for a basic gin, but quality tonic.
Try the Aldi $29 gin, with Fever Tree Mediterranean, or Premium Indian. They stock fever tree at Dan Murphy's. Or someone a øve mentioned an Australian tonic.

Nice drop but I think I’ll get the 1 litre of Tanqueray for slightly less, $59.90.

  • Can I use this deal to get $20 back

It doesn’t say anything about alcohol being excluded…

  • +1

This is a good price for a single bottle delivered, without having to worry about cashbacks.

That said, there's been a lot of alcohol cashbacks lately at the 20/22% mark.

For example, Liquorland today had this gin for $68, 22% cash back (excl GST) brings it to $54.40.

I think the best price I've bought it was graysonline eBay with coupon for $50 a bottle in a box of 6 (I split it with some colleagues).

Cashback stacks on this, worked for me

This is a great gin - but so is the $29 Aldi gin - close to Hendricks IMO. If/when you have people visiting from the UK, get them to bring some GBP10 UK Aldi gin - which is even better.

  • I like Applewood's Gin. Not cheap though
