Please stay safe, and enjoy :)

The offer entitles any Amazon Australia customer who has not previously made a purchase on the Amazon Australia Store to receive one $20 Amazon.com.au gift card when they (in a single order) spend $59 or more on eligible items on amazon.com.au using a Mastercard card issued in Australia. Any non-Australian issued Mastercard cards or any non-Mastercard cards will not qualify for this offer.

For the purpose of these terms and conditions "eligible items" refers to any item purchased on Amazon.com.au (via desktop, mobile browser or the Amazon Shopping App) but excludes digital purchases such as e-books, subscriptions such as Prime video and audible, gift wrapping and postage or delivery rates. Amazon's standard delivery rates and policies apply to any purchase made pursuant to the offer.

To redeem the offer, once an Eligible Customer has added $59 or more of eligible items to their cart and finalised their purchase at checkout, the Amazon.com.au Gift Card will automatically be added to your account within 60 days after the promotion ends. A confirmation email will also be sent to the customer’s registered email account within 7 business days of their eligible order being processed.

The offer can only be redeemed once. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer. If you return any item purchased under the offer, such that your order would not have met the offer terms, the offer will not apply.

If you violate any terms and conditions of the offer, the offer will be invalid. Amazon may elect to cancel a transaction if Amazon considers that a customer is violating these terms or to address suspected misuse, abuse or fraud. Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. The offer is valid until 11:59PM (AEDT) on 31st December 2020.

OZBers don't exploit the loophole and create new accounts? We are good online citizens?

      • +1

good one, didn't think of that, looks like gift card is eligible too, anyone knows?

      • +2

If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer.

Might have to be new card/address

        • +5

Amazon are very good at identifying users that breach their terms with multiple accounts. They have suspended quite a few accounts and banned users for life for this reason.

          • -8

@bargainshooter: They have also sold me used camera with someone's personal photos and videos already there to me as brand new camera (amazon us though). So I guess they would not want to ban my account

          • @bargainshooter: Yep, they delete the account without any notice

            • @prodnus: Sure people who only open accounts for bonuses or other people pick up returning excessively with their algorithms can be banned . But people that don't do that are welcome with multiple accounts .

Similar to the previous Prime Member offer for $10 Amazon Gift Card with $39+ Spend

    • Yep, that deal required Prime Membership. This doesn’t apparently.

      • +2

Totally unrelated but … Hey TA - any chance at getting some Lenovo more deals :) similar to the E15 you recently got? maybe an E14

    Who's left? The Amish?

  • +8

Let me call my grandma. I believe she hasn't made any Amazon purchases yet.

A talking moose wants my credit card? Sounds reasonable.

  • +5

You know, I've just found out that I have a long-lost twin

  • Might have to use the neighbours address

    • +1

And your neighbour might have to use their neighbours address

Does a non-amazon prime member buying an electronic amazon giftcard count?

    • +1

i wish to know too. if someone has brought a amazon gift card please report back to see if credit was received.

      • im guessing no cos eGC is a digital item?

  • +3

    Conditions… Hmph.

    1: Amazon.AU customer

2: Never purchased on Amazon.AU before

    3: Must make single order, > AU$ 59

4: Order must be on eligible items

5: Must pay with AU-issued Mastercard

    • Sounds like ebay

      • +3

eBay would also limit the deal to 50 users who are Plus subscribers, launch it at a random time of the day without notice during a weekday.

        • +1

And then Shopback would offer us 10% cashback using their App, but then turn around and refuse to pay claiming that we must have had multiple tabs open and clicked on the CashRewards tab during checkout

    • Lucky I don’t have to jump through any hoops or anything!? :C

    • What are eligible items?

      • +1

        From the description:

So, not digital content, gift wrapping, or postage, essentially.

        • hard copy e-books are also excluded but very quiet (inaudible) audio books are in?

  • Probably only one person in Australia eligible. Come on down whoever you are!

How the @# did this get 170 upvotes with this condition : Never purchased on Amazon.AU before

I really give up with this place some times .

    • +8

If you Ozbargain for long enough you didn’t need to see the vote count to determine if a post is a deal or not, you enter a state of mind where you just see bargains.

Now you can take the take the Red pill and see bargains for yourself or take the Blue pill and blissfully rely on the vote count…

    • Now you understand the power of bots

      • There's also the TA effect

    • How I ozbargain.

Scroll page after page upvoting anything I want to look at. Reach my last upvote and stop scrolling. Go back and look at what I upvoted.

  • If my partner open up an account will it be against the terms?

    • -3

      No problems sachy.
I remember the good days getting the $10 bonus on my 12 accounts :)
Anyway I think its easier getting the 6% more on 1k or 1.5K Zip Saturday deal being worth $60 or $90 each account .
My base is 4% readily available Amazon cards for that calculation

  • +3

Would there be a single person to which this voucher applies?

    • +1

Nope , it designed for people that aren't up with the groove lol .

  • Time to open some new accounts.
Is it ONE per Mastercard? One per address?

    • +1

      One per pet

  • So can I spend this $59 to get a prime membership and still get the $20 gift card?

    • +2

T&Cs says that it doesn't cover subscriptions, so I'm guessing that's a no.

    • Edit

  • +1

Can I partially pay by gc and left $59 to use master card?

    • -1

You've never bought from Amazon before?

      • I have and I know you can mix payment, what I wasn't sure is if affect eligibility for this offer.

  • +1

How to find out eligibility? I always use my Visa but when I added Mastercard it doesn't show anything

    • +1

      Never purchased on Amazon.AU before

  • Can i use the same MasterCard for the wife's account which I've previously used for my Amazon account?

  • so physical gift card is excluded or not?

  • Is an order placed even a free book for kindle am I disqualified?

    • Was going to ask the same- 90% of my "purchases" are free e-books on Amazon. Regardless I won't be qualified as have purchased on Amazon prior to this…

  • +1

Deal has expired as 13,500 customers have already purchased. Damnn!!!

  • I placed an order on 13/12/2020 11:30am and met all offer T&C's.

Didn't receive any email afterwards and saw only just now that 13.5k customers have purchased.

Can anyone confirm if they received any email (confirmation or other)? Customer support wasn't helpful as they do not know who can check whether I was part of the 13,500.

  • Redemption cap of 13,500 redemptions has now been exhausted. This offer is no longer available
