Plantronics and Other Headsets E.g. Discovery 975 $97, CS540 $280.50. Shipping $9.90

I needed a new wireless headset for home and found this site with quite a few good deals. Finished up buying the runout model Plantronics WO300 for home at $267 and Discovery 975 for mobile at $97 (Officeworks has these at $155 - pricematch if you think it's worth it).

They also have the Plantronics CS60 for $233.81 compared to Officeworks $469. This is also a runout model and the model I have been using for years. The wireless range is great and I can walk anywhere in my house or yard and still keep the connection alive - supposedly 100 metres but I get around 30 metres through walls etc. But technology moves on and I believe its replacement, the CS540 is the better buy at $280.50 including handset lifter. If you don't need or want a handset lifter then the WO300 is my choice.

Courier delivery to me on NSW Central Coast was $9.90. Note that their site says free shipping for over $350. This is a bit misleading because if you look closer that is before GST. Nevertheless I placed the order last night and called then today and they refunded the courier. Also the price of the WO300 had dropped $10 overnight. When I asked, they readily refunded the $10 price difference as well - I thought that was good customer relations.

Note. In my research for what to buy I found another site very useful for their descriptions and product comparisons. They also have some great prices.

  • I have a CS70 that I'm no longer using + a handset lifter if anyone wants it cheap. $90?

    • damn, I'd buy it but I don't talk on the phone enough. Baargain. :)

    • How about $70 delivered to SA? Do you need special desk phone to use with this handset lifter or will work on any phone?
You still got all charger with it and still in good condition?

      • Ooops.. sorry for the late reply. Yeah I could do it for $70 delivered.

I have the cradle / charger, earpiece & lifter. It can be used with a normal telephone or an IP phone, I had it plugged into an el-cheapo Uniden from WOW. They are all in good condition, the only thing you'll need to replace is the double sided tape the secures the lifter to the phone.

I also have a wired platronics headset and 3g amp / noise filter to suit an IP phone only, probably never use that either if anyone is keen.

I'll send you private message shortly

  • +1

Is there a wireless headset for cordless phones? I have a Uniden DSS7960+1.

    • A cordless headset for a cordless telephone? Lol

But I think you mean a handsfree headset/earpiece for cordless handsets. In the past I have seen bluetooth capable telephones, but they're a hard catch.

    • Plantronics M214C Headset is for cordless phones but it's not wireless.

  • Nice find! Just picked up a DA40 for less than I could get it for on eBay.

    • Received it today. Would + again if I could.
