  • Is it USB2 or USB3 ?

    • It's wireless-N - I'm willing to bet it's only USB2.

      • Thanks.

        I only have a USB3 port free.

        • I can't tell if you're serious. USB3 is fully compatible with all USB2 devices.

          • @Dvbargain: USB2 is much slower…

            • @jv: My point stands. It will work at rated speeds. Its $12 and a 300Mbps adapter, usb2 can do 480Mbps theoretical max speed so…not sure what the problem is :)

              • @Dvbargain:

usb2 can do 480Mbps theoretical max speed so

                What is it practically though?

                • @jv: Its practically fine for a 300Mpbs adapter lol

  • Its says Sold out

    • +2

      • I just picked it up to take and look, and then put it back…

    It's only N rated.
I just buy this model when I need to add decent wifi to a desktop computer:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dual-Band-600Mbps-USB-WiFi-Wirel…

They always work flawlessly and for $9 posted you can't go wrong!

    • It's only N rated.

      That's fine.

I wasn't going to let the kids use it anyway…

  • This one has problems. I threw mine out because it isn't compatible with windows 10. Apparently every few mins it drops out because of some driver error.
Only v2 works with windows 10 apparently.

Threw mine out around 2 months ago, so it hasn't been fixed yet. I only bought it in september.

It should be alright if you are using it with rpi or linux.
