        I'm going to get the transformer you are offering without the keyboard,are you able to offer a good deal on the keyboard if they come in later for people who missed out? I checked out of Paypal by 8:02 after having one in my cart and was informed that there was no stock left. How can I lose it if it was in my cart?

        Nope I dont want 1 coz I hv already gotten one from Centrecom and Im after a laptop atm. At first I supported you guys because I know how shit some ozbargainers are sometimes, it was not beyond any imagination that 3-40 units could be sold out in a glance. Thats why I voted the guy. But I was not born yesterday so I checked and 90% sure that he was/is an impostor.

    I took less than 2 minutes to check out (8:02 on PC clock) but didn't get one, even though one was in my cart and I got re-directed to PAY PAL to pay. I'm not sure how this works, but when I have an item in my cart at the shops then its reserved for me until I pay, its off the shelf for other customers.

  Guys, from our experience from this deal:
  when a server is really stable,
  the first 5 to 10 minutes are what it takes all the stock out, even though it is 300/500 or 1000. As the highest traffic are this period. This is a lesson to learn, as mentioned earlier, we will try to source for more stock, but no promise yet. Also I will need to talk to the tech department to see if we can grab out the details of those adding to cart and give priority to them if we can get hold of more stock.

      that was a message send at the end of the deal for of those that bought the ones without keyboard. It was not a scam to increase the sales, if you checked the time it was sent. The 16GB tablet special price($339) ended 1 hour plus ago.

  Long time lurker… motivated to finally post since I also missed out on the deal.

  I understand how a seller may grossly underestimate demand and sell out quicker than expected. In ordinary circumstances I don't think they don't owe any apology or special deal to those who missed out.

  However, in the original post for the bargain, the rep used some seriously strong language, 'challenging' us to 'ozbargain' the deal, making claims of huge stock reserves etc etc. And then for the deal to last all of 5 minutes… it's annoying to say the least.

  That said, ShoppingExpress has apologised and tried to offer an alternate deal (which I also missed out on, grr). Still, I'd suggest that the rep not be so freaking cocky in the future. This website has proved time and again that it will snap up good deals in moments.

  Just had my confirmation email saying mine has been dispatched. I was one of the lucky ones it seems, was ready on 8, refreshing the page till the price dropped. Had already signed up to the website earlier so just used the browsers auto form filler for the delivery details and went paypal. Got my confirmation email at 8.02pm.

  I have to say though, from the original post it did sound like you guys had 'heaps' of stock and I was all ready to just rock up at half past or something to try my luck. Glad i didnt now.

    We thought we HAD. But now we know how it feels like when orders are flying through from all places at a crazy speed. This is really a BIG experience. In a way, we are lucky only a few extra orders got through which luckily we reserved 5 piece earlier to make sure we can handle this type of situation. We are also glad that as a result, we did not need to refund customers for overselling as a result from this massive experience (thanks to the system). This is our epic sale that sold the most till date, and the Fastest to end (unfortunately)

      I feel really lucky that I got mine on the first epic sale a few weeks ago. That is I was logging in from way over in western Australia, on Optus mobile broadband (said by many to be "not the sharpest knife in the drawer") so was behind the 8 ball from the start.

      But like leemako, I was right there at 5pm (wa time!), already registered and ready to go, but still got tangled up in the crash of the previous order software. But the shoppingexpress team cleared their software logjam, found my order within the electronic rubble and pushed it through by hand (thanks, guys & gals!)

        thanks mate. and seems the jam packed traffic is better than the smooth traffic after all? I was honestly shocked our stocks just flew out so fast under this new server. I was typing on facebook and ozbargain on the first few minutes (and was quite satisfied our server did not crash as i already saw biggest traffic on this epic sale), and someone already started saying sold out.. :(
