You don't even have to think about VRM's when pairing with something like 3600x or even 3700x
Unfortunately no discount for the 3600, fingers crossed in the next few days the 3600 might dip below $300.
This is perfect for any doing matx build, you're not really gonna find it cheaper than this anytime soon I reckon
MSY (couldnt be stuffed looking around) 3600 $329 so basically a board for $30.
Kinda tempting but Id still need 16gig of ram, case and power supply….any suggestions ;PGot a Z220 with a E3-1245 V2 and 32 gig I could sell (what Im using now). Got a 1060 in it that Ill keep, it games, Im happy.
And a Z420 with a E5-1620 v2 and 8 gig I could sell, could spread the ram between the two. Both have 500gig drives and ssds (id keep the ssds).
Wonder if that would get me close to a new box? I paid $295 for both boxs together minus the 1060.

No way, check out AliExpress lots o cheap ddr3 ram.
Just make sure if your board can take ECC or NonECC, mine can do both.
ECC is usually cheaper but most desktops cant take it, its meant for servers.
And why worry bout new? Ive always found ram to hold up well.on gumtree and ebay theyre all over $40 which defeats the purpose and i cant wait a few weeks for shippinhg anyways.
also on aliexpress its the same price so not really a deal

I had a quick look on ali and they seemed to average around 28.
Try putting a want ad on gumtree, trying begging your local recyclers, look for systems that have it installed..like try the auctions, thats where I got both of mine.@PAEz: i found a gumtree ad near me that sells cl10 1600mhz ddr3 1x 8gb for 50 but i wanna bargain it down to $40-45, would you know any good reasons to ask to lower the price?
@Jostur: Not really, if your got nothing local to compare against then he knows he as the market.
Your only bet I guess is to beg, its christmas, I only have this much, really wanted it for a computer im getting for christmas.
If hes active on gumtree's messaging then use that and when he says no he'll have a way to contact you if he changes his mind…if you get lucky he might wait for you to change your mind and if you dont then contact you. So hold to the amount you want and wait a day if you can.

Do note that vegeance LPX in particular are not well suited to Ryzen especially for overclocking. I struggled to get the XMP profile running for that exact kit with my 3600x.

$360 seems cheap for a cpu+mobo. Street price is about $320 for the 3600 it seems.
If you play at 1440p or above, yes perfectly good combo, you may see about 3-5% gain if you were to upgrade to a 5900x

Do you need to update the bios on the mobo? Did a few googling and apparently you need an older Ryzen CPU to update the bios. Just wondering if this comes with the bios updated
