Fitbit Charge 4 Black $149 Officeworks

170

Not the cheapest - but for those that missed out on Black Friday deals - and on the hunt in the lead up to Christmas (like me) - this is at the right price for last minute gift giving.

May be boxing day sale started early?

Possible price match at other outlets.

The Fitbit Charge 4 helps you monitor your sleep, exercise and even swimming, with built-in GPS for tracking distance. It has a long-lasting, 7-day battery so you can go longer between charges, and offers convenient features like Fitbit Pay, Spotify control, text, call, and app notifications. With its sleek design and customisable watch face, it is a stylish and functional accessory you can wear anywhere.

I think the versa 2 was going for this price during black friday. I know because of buyers remorse of having bought this prior to the black friday sales.

  • Does anyone know of any major downsides to this watch? I'm looking to upgrade from an old TomTom Spark that has serious battery life issues and is no longer supported. This watch seems good for running and cycling, and the NFC payments function would be handy too. I don't like clunky watches or short battery lifes, and don't use advanced smart watch functionality.

    • Garmin?

      • Generally clunky. Are they much better? The cheaper models seem to be from 2017 and still cost more.

I bought one during the black friday sales and have been wearing it daily.

Like yourself, I didn't want a clunky watch or smart watch functionality.

For what it is, it does the job perfectly. The battery lasts about 1.5-2 weeks. Steps are tracked as accurately as my wife's much more expensive Garmin. The heart rate function also seems pretty accurate.

I thought I would use NFC, but haven't been in a situation where I don't also have my phone.

      I'd recommend it.

      • Thanks, that's very helpful.

  • This looks like a decent "cover-most-bases" sort of thing. Only pulse tracking?
