I didn't see it was essentially a trail version. Still I've enjoyed it enough to buy it next time steam brings it out on sale.

I'm not a big user of the Chrome Store (is everything free on the Chrome Store?) but I love the Chrome Browser and now you can play Bastion for free in it.

Limitations I guess are you need a Google account (gmail will do) and the Chrome Browser to play [F11 for fullscreen].

"Try this award-winning hit for FREE right in your Chrome browser! Upgrade to the full-length experience for $14.99 to complete the story."

    • oh it's a trial =[

    • OK .. edited the post.

Don't ask me how I missed that it had a price - I honestly looked around and didn't see it, and the "Feature List" of the game seemed to list the same as in the Steam Store [#number of levels etc]. Guess it does have the same number of levels once you pay for it.

Still I hadn't played it before and have enjoyed the 20min I have played so far .. not sure where it stops… but I'll definitely add it to my Steam list for its next round of discounting :)

  • Thats how i read it. Fun little game tho

  • Probs a while to wait for a sale given it was just on a daily sale a day ago.

  • trial version, sorry but neg…

    • so it's not a trial then?

I believe it was going for $4.99 very recently. Was kicking myself in the ass because I bought it for $7.50 Lol

  • I'm confused,
    from title looks a trial,
from bottom of the post looks FREE,
other places reported it as free…

    • Sorry I originally thought it was a free game. Being new to the Chrome store I couldn't find or see a price (in fact if I did want to buy it I still can't see where).

Blueboy pointed out my error and I tried to update the post. You can't revoke your own post - which seems a little odd.

      • no worries,
probably u should remove this to make the post correct:
"I'm not a big user of the Chrome Store (is everything free on the Chrome Store?) but I love the Chrome Browser and now you can play Bastion for free in it."

        :)

Not actually a deal… Otherwise we would see Ozbargain flooded weekly with trials for new games on Xbox and PS3

    • What he said. No deal.

    • agreed

  • no deal trial
