170

Has come down to the same price as Amazon's offering, but works out better if you have access to a student discount code and discounted gift cards. Normal price without discount code is $319.20, same as Amazon.

I myself paid ~$250 using discounted gift cards. (EDIT: that I bought from the classifieds section)

Make sure to use free trial for Club Catch if you have not already done so, and cancel straight after ordering to avoid being charged for consecutive months.

  • will this work on the PS5?

    • +1

      Yes

    • Yes, confirmed by logitech

    • Yes I have this steering wheel and a ps5 and it works perfectly

Is there any other recommendations for racing wheels? Apparently, the G29 isn't great as it doesn't have a direct drive system, and reviewers normally would pick other brands over Logitech in terms of Wheels. Was wondering if anyone has a better alternative that features a direct drive system at a decent price range.

From memory I think the Thrustmaster t300 rs gt was direct drive. Slightly more expensive than the g29 but from what I've read it's worth it.

      • +3

The T300 is definately not direct drive. Most direct drive wheels are well over $2k so are not in competition with the logitech wheel at all. If you want direct drive, look in to the Fanatec Podium wheel bases. These are the most simple plug and play direct drive setups available on the market.
The thrustmaster gear is a little better than logitech but also costs a lot more.
I have a fanatec clubsport setup which is another step up again. One of my mates is using the logitech setup, and for the price it is incredible. I would have no problem recommending it to people as a great low cost starting point.

        • Yeah my bad. Maybe I was thinking of one of the fanatec wheels.

Depends on your budget. IMO Logitech wheels haven't changed dramatically in quality or features since G25 (released 06ish?). In fact, the bundled shifter lost features with G27 then became an add-on purchase since G29/920 without the wheel's price really dropping.

I saved up and got the Fanatec F1 bundle for $800 on during Black Friday and the difference is night and day, and that bundle is still considered the entry level for Fanatec gear. It literally made my old Logitech G27/29 feel like a happy meal toy.

That being said, if you're only a casual player then the Logitech is perfectly serviceable, but if you're looking for better immersion then the cost is going to be significantly higher. The top of the line Fanatec stuff gets crazy expensive

  • Can i combine a UNiDAYS student discount code and a student beans one in one transaction?

  • Not really a deal if you dont mention exactly how you came to this discounted price

    • Yes, should explain how did you stack the code to get $250, seems impossible.

      • +1

Yeah, sorry. I bought gift cards from sellers in the classifieds section. Should've mentioned it, my bad

        • would have loved to have brought this under $300. are there any other discount codes?

  • Check the compatible games, made that mistake on my Xbox one.

  • Good price. People still trying to flog used ones for $300+
