Can you please provide your review for other to decide the same ?

      • Definitely would love to hear what they have to say about it.

      • The soundbar is definitely a decent device with Android TV pre-loaded
The sub is too light for the size, but overall I am happy for the pricetag <500$
Better than my other Bose 500 bar.

    • Likewise :(

    • within 14 days and they should just refund the difference

      • bought sub from JBL directly and bar from HN so no way…

    • Review please, not so luckybuyer

    • Me too 🤭

  • OP Is this deal only online or instore also, do you know?

    • It’s published in their boxing day brochure as well. Plus, you can do click and collect so I guess it should be alright in-store as well. Not too sure though.

  • Whats the review like for this combo? Any user feedbacks from Ozb community?

    • I am after a genuine review as well. Seems like a good deal. Alot of negative feedbacks online of the "SMART" things (google assistant response time etc) but nothing much about the sound quality.

      • Read that the sound isn't very refine but that's just using the sound bar. Like to know what sounds quality like with the combo.

        https://www.cnet.com/reviews/jbl-link-bar-review/

The sound quality review positive and adding the woofer really make it a better system..

  • Built in android tv makes this a no brain upgrade for an older tv.

    • +1

I’ve watched couple of YouTube reviews and for this price it looks really good. You also get android tv built-in the bar and google assistant for some smart home features. Hope this helps

  • Interested in this too.
Early reviews suggest the Google assistant integration was clunky, however there was a new firmware patch in Oct-20, so would be keen to hear thoughts of people who purchased one recently.

    • That is just for the soundbar only

      • They have bonus offer
        Which included the subwoofer

Dammit just bought this combo for $399!

    • within 14 days and they should just refund the difference

    • Review please

    • Let us know what you thought about it man!

  • reviews for sound quality in earlier deals for this combo don't seem that great

  • Strange the original price for this link bar is actually dearer than a Sonos..

  • Anyone know if you can buy other JBL link speakers and connect them as rear speakers?

  • +1

The bar itself is not that loud even with the sub, we bought in Costco for $599 bundle 4 months ago and gave to returned it. The Android TV is a bit buggy, I hope there is already an update for this one. For this price, I think this is good buy now.

    • Thank you for the feedback.. wondering if you got a faulty unit as review been rather positive on the bar.

Will head down to JB to trial it out. $345 for the combo is really good price.

  • +1

No it was not a faulty unit because even the display one in Costco was the same. It does not get loud even with the sub.

  • The discount seems insane, somebody tell me this is all a trick so I don't impulse buy!

    • +2

I was about to grab them.. but end up getting the eEdifer deal. Better reviews on the Edifier.

I think the pricings are almost false as someone pointed out, you can get the subwoofer for $100.

      IMHO, another dishonest pricing practise.

      • +3

Ironic, I posted that deal lol.

And it was all because of this post that spured me to go on a search to find better systems for cheap.

      • IMHO, another dishonest pricing practise.

yep. retail is a complete scam these days.

    • +1

It's insane relative to ridiculous inflated RRP.

But at face value is par for the course. They are being cleared out because they have a high rate of returns.

They will be $299 next month

  • Thanks op picked up one

  • The Good Guys has the same combo, just add the Sub to the cart.

TGG also has 6% Cashback with Shopback, bringing it down to $329.

Bought the combo myself back in September from JB when it was $499 for the combo, not for my main setup, kids toy room or bedroom etc - very happy with the performance. Also customer support is excellent, dog ate the flipping remote 2 weeks after i got it - called them asking where i could buy another and they just sent me another.

The built in Android TV is good, and was a step up from the chromecast i had on the tele - but the new ChromeCast with Google TV or whatever they are calling it is better again, but i dont think it will firmware update that far :( At $329 for the combo though im thinking i'd forgo the builtin Android and still just run it with a new ChromeCast instead.

  • Can I get cashback from shopback on TGG if I pay with TGG gift card?

  • Picked it up Today. I can't for the life of me get it to connect to the tv. Its on HDMI ARC channel. CEC enabled.

    It won't turn on!!!!!

    • Update the firmware.

      • +1

Wow it's like your ears were burning haah. I just started updating and i came back to check comments and you said just that haha

      • Well the update didn't work. Still says No Signal
        What a POS

        • How did it go? Did you get it working?
Just wondering how you are finding the sound/ functions etc?

          • @Hobbes: Hi we tried another bar, and that worked straight out of the box. This morning we found that the remote had lost its pairing and had to be re-paired. If this occurs too many times. We willl return it

          • @Hobbes: In terms of the sound quality, it's not super great but very good bang for your buck. The in built Android TV and Google assistant works well. Also works well when searching YT using voice recognition.

  • Buggy, remote randomly stops working… Need to reset system every other day

  • Might be worth waiting for another deal on JBL 3.1 which was on special for $340 from TGG.
