  Or you can use Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware for free, which does just as good a job of detection and a better job of removal. It's the scanner of choice on reputable tech-help sites such as MajorGeeks and BleepingComputer.

    Yes, I use that too. Both good and worth using. I usually leave both these on clients computers, hoping they'll use them occasionally (they rarely do). Then they grumble when they have to pay me to clean the computer!

  Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware is THE malware solution, even google recommends it (they have no incentive to do so) and you can get a life time lic for like $20

  You should only have one malware solution and one antivirus running on a system btw

    One running, but it's fine, even advisable, to have others like (for example) Malwarebytes on the computer that are not running, but available.
