  use to work in a jewelry shop in melb city. people would bring in their MK watches, newly purchased from Myer to get the links adjusted as Myer doesnt have anyone to do this in their watch sales areas… almost all of these NEW watches I took in for adjustment had rusted split pins.

  was 499?… legit feel sorry for those who actually paid rrp for something like this.

  but hey. dont let others tell you how to spend your money right?

  Not sure what people would expect. It's not as though Michael Kors have a strict horological heritage.

  They're a fashion brand… It's just fashion at a high price for something like this.

    Well even the ones on ebay for this sort of price are 'Real'.
    I mean they could be 'fake' in that they werent sold directly by Mr Kors himself, but are instead the chinese factory just making extras (because all these fashion brand watches are made there regardless).
    But quality and details wise yes i can say they are the exact same inside and out.
    I say this as someone who did some warehouse/dispatch/returns and repairs work for an online retailer a while back and worked specifically with a lot of watches. I worked with the 'real' ones, and then bought some of these cheap ones online a few times out of curiosity and all have been exactly the same as what i always worked with.

        No worries mate.
        I cant say with complete certainty about every single model of course, but the few similar MK ones (and other brands) i got were the same situation as i say above.
        I did buy them from one of those few ebay sellers (janoshop actually sells on there too i believe).

            @charitha: Yeah thats the one part i guess is a bit more hit or miss possibly.
            I would assume if it was DOA it would likely be a replacement sent to you.
            It dying later is only likely if you damage it somehow, and thats not covered in retail warranty anyway (very little is for these fashion watches, on the shitty side as far as warranties go for items).
            Good luck and enjoy, i have had this watch in hand a few times and its quite nice.
