      xiaomi is better if you don't mind waiting longer

      • Does Xiaomi router support NBN and phone line ?

        • NBN = yeah.
          Phone = no.

  • Do I need this? Does it replace my Vodafone wifi hub?

      Newest routers can handle more devices at once without drop outs. Wi-Fi 6 has better range and more stable connection over previous generations.
      As for internet speeds, that's based on your internet plan and speed you're on. They advertise up to 1.5GBPS, but not many people have that much download speed (yet).

      With NBN network upgrade in progress, hopefully 1gbps plans will be more widely available.

    I have this router. It randomly restarts itself a few times a day. Other than that, it's pretty good.

    D-Link routers are rubbish. Their firmware is often buggy and their WiFi performance is poor. Their support channel is hopeless and use any excuse for why it must be your fault and not their device.

    WiFi 6 can only handle more devices at the one time if they are all WiFi 6 clients, otherwise the non- WiFi 6 devices can still use more air time than they need. If you have more than 10 devices connected to your wifi, then chances are they are IoT devices and none of those support WiFi 6.

    Don't buy this router, it is plagued with issues.

      I was dumb enough to buy it. Won’t get internet connection at location I need it (plugged in exactly as my old router was). If I plug in direct to modem in garage all good. Very frustrating, will be going back most likely.
