CyberGhost VPN: 100% Cashback on All Plans @ Cashrewards

143

Peace of mind with tracking as they have 45 day money back guarantee. Enjoy :)

Cashback is eligible for new CyberGhost VPN customers only.

Cashback may be ineligible if using codes not listed on Cashrewards.

Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will not include any GST, taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.

The amount that tracks to your Cashrewards account may differ to the paid amount due to international exchange rates. Your initial payment is converted to USD, then converted back to AUD when reported to us. The advertised cashback rate is based on the reported amount, not the paid amount. Cashrewards has no control over this process.

    100% cashback?
What is in it for CyberGhost or Cashrewards? Free promotion?

    Any comment from existing subscribers?

    • I started using it last month. Works pretty good so far. Speed is better than nordVPN.

      • What about cashback?

        • -2

I got the 100% cashback in 2 days

          • @eatcroissants: That should be on pending?

            • +1

@Mahip: Yes, it got tracked but you get the approval in the usual 90 days

              • @eatcroissants: If you decide to signup (since it's 100% rebated), MAKE sure you have all evidence of using CR because something tells me they'll try to dodge paying the rebates + don't enter credit card with auto subscription. As stated by the comment from 👇

                • @Mahip: Thanks for the suggestion. I did take some screenshots…

100% dodgy company based in Romania. I would not touch Cyberghost, even if they decided to go free.

They sold Lifetime licenses for a brief period. I paid $85USD for this suppose 'lifetime plan'. Anyway, it lasted 5 years and then they pulled the plug on everyone. When you contact them, they say it's not really lifetime…. Do a Google search to see the sheer amount of bad reviews. I would not be surprised if they snoop or share data on gov requests.

If you decide to signup (since it's 100% rebated), MAKE sure you have all evidence of using CR because something tells me they'll try to dodge paying the rebates + don't enter credit card with auto subscription.

Give me a 100% off coupon better.

  • So if you were to sign up to the 3 year plan, which costs $121.29, it would effectively be 100% off that, making it free?

    • Sounds like you'll be paying whatever conversion rates there are for US D to AUD

      • Therefore, it may not be 100% free due to conversions being done twice with slightly differing rates.
I have had this issue in the past with NordVPN deals.

        • This comment was correct. Cashback for the three year sign-up was only $117.51, meaning you're out of pocket $3.78 if you pursue this deal. Sorry kids, no birthday presents this year.

I should also note that after testing the VPN across mobile and PC on the streaming platforms I had on-hand (Disney+ / Netflix), while the majority was a smooth experience, Netflix US on PC was impossible for me to access - it was glitchy, laggy and I wasn't able to navigate across to any particular movie / tv show.

"free" products touting privacy throw up red flags for me.. could just be trying to buy into the market though..

    • Indeed, data breach concerns with parent company. They've net around for donkeys years, do seems evident it's to sell off even more user data.

  • Also if I add 'dedicated IP' which is $7 per month. That will also be 100% cashback?

    • Good question

I tried doing this, using the ShopBack deal last week & it didn't work.

Only the 'base' subscription got tracked for cashback, but not the dedicated IP, which seemed to be treated as an 'add-on' & not eligible for cashback.

Maybe the treatment of the dedicated IP subscription will be different with this Cashrewards deal, but I doubt it.
