I've seen such products for a long time on OB and I can't quite see what you would use them for; call it a failure of imagination. Is it for gardening? Taking your kids around?

    • +1

I use one cart 2 paddleboards attached to the sides to the beach down the end of the street :)

    • +2

Taking all the shopping bags with you in one trip. Also: kids and dogs. The hard-based non-fold type carts are more suitable for the gardening jobs.

      • +3

Have yet to see anyone dragging one of these around shopping centres … I mean if a Coles or Woolies trolley won't be enough for those shopping bags, one must be buying too many stuff.

        • +5

Personally live in an apartment and I use the cart to take the groceries from the boot of my car to my unit in one trip.

          • @[Deactivated]: ahh yes this makes sense. tho if i live alone, I wouldn't have that many things to carry from the carpark to the apartment. if I do have multiples staying with me, I would get them to help carry some. i mean its an added step to assemble and disassemble, and I probably wont be using it much if I keep groceries buying to once a week.

what makes sense for buying it is probably the ad-hoc trip to the picnic grounds, and it helps with the lugging of foldable chairs, food stuff, mats and what not. maybe usage utilisation is probably once a month or so. maybe add a couple more times for summer months when one does fishing.

still a nice to have, not an essential.

ps: I saw at kmart their ones is only rated 50kg.

When you have more than two kids doing whatever Saturday sport, you need something like this to haul all their equipment and your stuff around the sports fields all effing day

    • +4

For Jetty fishing, these are fantastic.

Taking things from a-b over a long distance. Going to a bbq or park pack everything in it and go. Alot of trades use them to put all their tools in and wheel them around, very useful especially if working far from your car.

Surely you can think of a single use of this product….. Surely

        Ghetto trailer for Toyota Corolla

      • That's Kkrisp

      • max capacity: 80kg

… what sort of bodies are you dumping?

        • Little ones

    • +1

I use it to lug my astrophotography gear down to the park where I have open space to shoot :)

    • +2

Use mine at the beach all summer. Load up the esky, beach tent, 876 beach toys and go. I did get one with bigger wheels though as it’s a pain to drag across soft sand and I imagine these small wheels would be a nightmare.

    • When I used to live in an apartment complex with basement parking these trolleys would come in handy for shopping bags the one trip method.
For rubbish/recycling load the trolley up and take it to the bins.

    • +1

I put it at the front door for Coles or Woolworths deliveries. Its better than cutting the circulation off in your fingers. :-)
It also folds up well so its easy to hide under the stairs.

    • Imagine living in an apartment on level 8… one trip up the elevator is better than four.

    • Carpark to camping ground at festivals.

    • Camping: take all your beach stuff. Parks and events: take you r booze & food & chairs. Although ours was in the shed pretty much the whole year, we already used 3x times this month!normal life I suppose now

    • Everyone has them at the beach these days…

  • +2

I got one from Woolies for free

    • -1

Applies sells them ? And how did you get one for free, can you please tell?

      • +7

        Nice try officer

        • It was auto correct, I asked Woolies sells them? What was a nice try? Asking questions not allowed?

      • +1

        It's on a permanent loan 🙃

  • +1

Thanks OP, been seeing them often at the beach lately. Now I can assuage my cart envy and pretend to be Lone Wolf and Cub: Beach Cart in Hell.

  • +3

not much different with the kmart $49 even the desciption at kmart capacity is less kg but do the same thing im sure. if really want to compare or better one find the one with the thicker/wider wheels will be easier to pull especially on the beach/sand

    • where can i find those with fat tyres?

    • Lots of reviews say it's fine for beach, it's a beach cart not a 4wd

      • +1

These skinny wheels one suck on soft sand.

        • Yep I have a big wheeled one and it’s hard, these tiny wheels would be a nightmare

  • add / cut up a mattress and you have a mobile pram/bed

  • Couldn’t find any stock in WA for click and collect

  • +3

I see the ones advertised as beach trolleys have wider wheels. This one might get bogged

    • Link to those?

    • +1

Yes I agree. I've seen beach ones they tend to have much fatter wheels.

    • +1

Yeah this one is useless on the beach with a bit of weight in it. Wheels bog down and you end up dragging all 4 wheels through the sand, making it even more effort to use. These are perfect for trips to a park.

  • +1

If you are going to take it to the beach (especially one with any soft sand) dont bother with this one and get something with wider wheels. The thin wheels just dig in.

These are only good for hard sand, dirt, grass.

      • Picked this one up yesterday, it was missing a washer in the tools but otherwise, its a tank!

    • Maximum weight capacity of the Kmart one is 50kg. The SCA one is 80kg and is a much more sturdy.

      • Looks exactly the same to me. Maybe the SCA's 80kg limit is closer to the maximum tolerance limit.

    • Biggest difference is the Kmart back wheels. They're closer together for tighter storage, but make it much less stable around corners if there's weight (like a child) at the back.

  • Have been using a cart like this since i got one similar from bunnings for $15 years ago. Ita great for going to events with kids and all the stuff you take like esky, chairs and a bag or two.
My advice is to have a few elastic straps handy to hold everything down.
Recently upgraded to a fat tyre version and looked at numerous models and went with this one because it folds up differently and is better then the ones i looked at kmart, annaconda, rebel and similar at BCF.
    https://www.bcf.com.au/p/wanderer-quad-fold-camp-cart/599462…
$120 on special and worth it.

    • How is it better?

      • +1

Smaller tyre ones fold up to briefcase size. Really convenient.
But bigger tyres go better on soft ground. But then they fold up huge. Unless you take the tyres off and that's just extra hassle.
The one I linked from BCF has fat tyres but folds up like a cheap camp chair and the bottom cushion flap wraps around it to keep it secure. Also a good floor if you have kids riding in it like I do.
Of the big fat tyre ones its the better by far.
Its not a good a buy as the 2 I got from bunnings for $15 each like the one in this deal but its a better cart for my needs and so $120 worth spent in that case.

    • Wow love how it collapses!

  • Very little stock in Brisbane, only store in the metro area showing availability was Keperra

  • +2

This version is better especially when there is sun and wants to keep the esky cool.

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/deluxe-foldable-wagon-with-…

    Music festivals
    Camping
    Beach
Walk to the shops and bring your shopping
    Bunnings
Make a piece of plywood and you have a hard base on demand.
    Picnics

    So so so many uses.

  • tempting! can the wheels be replaced?

  • Wanderer from BCF is better, thicker wheels for ploughing through the sand. Can be found for $79 when on sale

  • No bueno from me…
Kmart version is $49 any day of the week. Definitely not worth $100. But as many comments mention, get one with thicker wheels if you're taking it on sand.

  • Been using Kmart one and loving it

  • +2

Have used this for a couple of months.
Overall is satisfied, but have a few comments:
    1. The handle is retractable. If you pull too hard with a heavy load, the handle could be pulled out. I have to use screw to secure it, but can't retract anymore.
    2. Need to strength these stitches after use for some time.
    3. It's not so easy to turn

  • Bought this from the last sale, use it all the time. Was bummed out I didn’t get two back then. Will get another for the parents.

The fabric quality feels very sturdy which I like.

  • Grabbed one of these last time came up on OzB. Use it for hauling camera gear to shoots. So handy.

  • Signed up to the $1 membership, but still hasn't got the $10 credit after 12 hours? Used to be just within minutes I remembered.

    $49 @ Kmart.

    No bargain.
