First bargain posted so be gentle. For select model Samsung TVs made from 2012 to 2015. The evolution kit enables the older TVs to be upgraded for HDR, smart menu, faster processor, extra HDMI port, smart remote. If you have one of the older compatible TVs, $399 (Harvey Norman, eBay,) it would be a big nahhh but at $39 and genuine product direct from Samsung, could be a bargain

  Be careful. This box does not work standalone.

  You either need the original One Connect box or a SEK 3500 box that this connects to.

  Cannot just get this to work with the SEK-4500 alone.

    What a fiasco. Samsung gave me an entire new TV after finally admitting that 2013 models were advertised as being fully upgradable with replacement modules each year.

    Now appears they released this box sometime later and it’s nothing more than a media centre that plugs into HDMI.

      Really? I spoke with Samsung and an official dealer as some hdmi connections and all tv channels have choppy images on my One Connect box. They said too bad it's out of warranty. I have the F9000 with upgraded SEK-3500 One Connect box.

  Ordered one just before Xmas and delivered in a few days. Works fine on my 10 years old Samsung. Tried it on other brand tvs, show an image for about 2 sec the gone to the not comparable screen. My guess is Samsung is looking for the Anynet+ handshake to stop people using it on other brand.

  Function as described, fast, good picture and sound quality.
