  • Can anyone confirm if this one compatible with ipod touch 4G?
I've been reading at the forum that this thing won't charge the ipod, mostly after OS update.

i have a 3gs iphone, new gen ipod, and a 4g iphone in my household. All have fully updated OS and work 100% fine with this dock.

terrific product by the way. i tested a crapload of other docks which cost 3 times as much, but this sucker is by far the best.

  • I have seen some average feedback on the sound quality of these units, when u try to pump up the volume the sound quality is distorted. I'm looking for a device like this and tossing between these and ihome units… if someone can confirm the sound quality on these that would be great.

    • Sound quality can be subjective might be influenced by source material (a lemon pops up every so often, I'm sure). Suffice it to say that I believe these speakers/dock punches above it's weight and worth it at this price.

      • my sound quality blew me away in terms of clarity and bass

        • +1

          completely agree.

ok, it's not going to blow my yamaha system out of the water…. but the sound quality is far better than any other $79 dock you are going to buy.

take your own ipod to jb hifi and test it yourself on the display models if you still have doubts. thats what I did- then just bought it online when I came home ;).

    • What everyone else has said is right - it won't replace a home theatre system or become a surround sound movie theatre. So for what it is, it punches well above its weight that's for sure. Sound source makes a big difference obviously, sleek, portable, rechargeable, take it anywhere you can't go wrong.

Lots of reviews from all kinds of people on our site http://reviews-au.logitech.com/7061-en_au/48/ipod-mp3-docks-…

I bought this last time it was at this price. Flawless operation. Very happy with it :).

This is a TERRIBLE product. I have one and I hate it. It always turns itself off. Mid way through a song it will just turn off. This is a known "feature" called power saving. Don't get it.

    • +1

      mine doesnt.

      • It depends on the song and the volume. If it's audible but not loud it will turn off. The automatic power saving mode is way too insensitive and there's no way to turn it off.

        • It's really simple, head to logitech.com, hit the Support button, email/phone our Support Team who will most likely organise a replacement.

    • Surely there's something wrong there? What source are you using ? ipod/iphone?

      • See this:
        http://forums.logitech.com/t5/iPod-Docks/PureFi-Anywhere-2-S…

I was using an iphone, an android with 3.5mm cable and a laptop with the 3.5mm cable. Same result all the time.

It's not a problem if you only listen to rock or pop. But if you like enya or hymns or Christmas carols it's annoying.

Other than that it is alright. It's got some nice features like the internal battery and the 3.5mm input which means it works with ipads, laptops and androids. And the sound is good.

  • Never had a problem with ours turning off. Only thing I would like is being able to play the FM radio that the ipod has built in but can't play as it doesn't have an antenna when plugged into the base.
Sound qulaity is very good for what it is.

    • Go check out TuneIn Radio app - there are others - but basically they can turn your iPod into internet radio/alarm clock etc. So you don't have to worry about antenna's and the like and get a world of radio rather than just local stations.

  • Does this have a 3.55m audio in jack for use with say an Airport Express for wireless music streaming or is it strictly for iPods/iPhones plugged in? Also, does it come with all the docks for different models?

    • Sure does and sure can. One of the guys in the office does this ie Airport Express and it works very well. If you then use a Multi 3.5mm adaptor you can have multiple sources quick flash!

I got this in the last $79 sale…they are by far one of the better sounding docks out there.

  • are they gray imports?

    • No, LTS are an Australian Authorised Reseller of Logitech products.

  • Is it possible for jb to price match this?

    • You can try, most of the various retailers have different policies and procedures for price matching.
