I broke my friends wine glass (a blue one) and can't find a replacement.

She has two other ones that I took a photo of.

I think its a set of 6. Does anyone know where to get it?

I need to replace it or I'm in big trouble!!!!

Please help this is an emergency!!!

Thank you you save my life.

Update 2/1/21: they from target which dont stock them anymore. Found someone on facebook and messaged them. Hope sale goes through. Meeting next weekend.

Lmao if your friend would kill you over a cheap ass ugly glass like that then s/he's not a friend.

  • +2

Delete them on FB, Insta, Twitter, Ozbargain.

    Find a new friend

You did them a favor, break the rest, that there is an ugly wine glass.

What's up with all these troll posts? It's getting more amd more cringe now…

  • Does your friend ask for petrol money as well?

  • I just grab some popcorn and enjoy your friend killing you

Am I the only psycho here?

  • These are unbreakable apparently, given 4 seem to have been broken would recommend getting the set and you can each smash one of the remaining breakable glasses.

If you don't care about the next set breaking, these are a bit cheaper. Not quite the same, but if you get your friend drunk enough and replace all 3 they may not notice

  • Just buy yourself a coffin. Problem solved.

  • Tell her in front of a cop , so she doesn’t glass you with the remaining 5

  • Easy, Pay for your whole life, accept her as your wife…

  • +1

It's not a big deal. Your friend does not care that you broke a glass.

Is it really a party if no glasses get broken?

  • +2

"I'm dead" in OP's title = I won't get bonking for some time

  • Girlfriend got poor taste

  • Is your superhero name “Super Simp”?

  • +2

Are the glasses sentimental or something?
If one of my friends broke a glass out of a set and offered to buy a new set I'd be like yep sure no worries.
If these wine glasses are from 1892 or something then I suggest you skip town immediately.

  • +2

Geez they don't exactly look like quality glasses, just buy a new set and be done with it. If your struggling with something so benign I'd hate to what happens when you have real problems.

Do you want some cheese to go with your whine

Target Prism Set of 6 - there’s someone on FB Marketplace selling a set for $10. They are located in Craigieburn Vic

If you're dead then you don't have to worry anymore and can't read this comment

  • If you kill her first, your out of danger…
+ you get 2 highly sought after wine glasses to yourself!

    Gotta think outside the box.

  • +1

They're cheap crappy glasses. Buy them a cheap good set if you feel bad.

  • +4

There is 100% more to this story. Op is going to get caught for something if they don't replace this glass so that it looks like it was never used.

    • +6

OP is probably 15 years old and went through his parents stash of alcohol. The wine glasses were at the back of the cabinet, so a broken glass would mean that he used them to drink some wine with his gf the parents don't know about. He doesn't want his parents to find out, hence the urgency to find the same $2 glass. Probably something like that.

  • they look like $1 cheap glasses

  • Meh things break move on. I've had mates break Reidels, don't care.

  • +1

Yep, I think unless you can replicate a perfectly identical glass, lie to your friend for the rest of your life, you should really put yourself to death, save your friend the trouble.

I mean, some of these people are insane aren't they? Just tell her you broke her glass? That's like saying "Please kill me right now" isn't it? Lot of truth tellers here, brave people, don't trust them.

Oh my god. Get the hell over it.

  • Whatever you do don't break a dinner plate or she may never talk to you again. She sounds like a great friend so you wouldn't want that.

    What a DRAMA QUEEN…OMG!

Since when is a broken Target wine galss that cost maybe $2 an emergency and matter of life and death?

Heaven help you during the next COVID19 outbreak!

Suggest you have some valium tablets on hand (for every day use)

Damn, if someone broke my whole set I wouldn't mind lol. Given you guys were drinking wine and having fun, that would've been more valuable as an experience than the wine glass itself. It's just a glass, people break things, still would buy them a new glass but it shouldn't be much of a big fuss.

  • What kind of friend is going to value you less than a wine glass?

  • +1

Just add your task on Airtasker about putting the blame on someone else for $50 and I’ll gladly agree on the offer

  • Since friend has broken 3 already, maybe they don’t care that much. Have you spoken to friend about this or are making this to be bigger than it really is. Buy friend a set of glasses they like now, not old rubbish from target or Kmart.

Friend may actually be the rational one in this friendship group.

Did you break into her place and have a secret party? I can't see any other reason why she would "kill" you.

Just searched blue wine glass on ebay and this came up. It is the blue glass! This is the heading on the ad Large tinted Wine Glasses x 3 Blue Green Peach/pink
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/313331985642

    • Well done! Problem solved!

    • This is it!!!

  • OP is having a good ol laugh. Friend is probably pissing themselves by now I'd say.

One time my friend broke my favourite bong. He replaced it with a crappier bong that did not hit the same way. I never forgave him. So make sure you replace the wine glass with an exact copy or prepare to lose a friend forever.

  • lol this reminds me the story of "the diamond necklace"

  • Why don't you break other 5 as well and get her a different set?

  • +1

if they give you grief over a $2 wine glass, they are not really your friend. Or look at you as a "lower tier" friend/someone they can bully.

  • +2

I am concerned that you are so upset over something that objectively appears trivial. Are you ok? Is something else going on?

  • +1

    Break the friendship.. simples..

    • you and bargain huntress gotta be a couple!

      • Sadly no

There a few people floating around here with similar usernames actually
