With a vintner like super saver six, you know it's going be good…

I'd rather have two bottles of drinkable wine, than six bottles of drain cleaner.

Neg votes, let me know how the first glass tastes.

+1. It's hard to tell if this is a deal without knowing the wine. Some wines you couldn't pay me to drink 6 bottles. You can probably get 6 bottles for 20 from Aldi if any wine will do, or the same volume in a box.

Very true. If the wine is good - great, but I’ve yet to have a good bottle of $3 wine.

Last time I bought cheap wine posted on ozbargain - $40 for half dozen, no body I knew enjoyed it (& I didn’t tell them the price prior) including me despite the 160+ up votes (& I was one of them).

Which made me remember that buying wine at “bargain” prices can be misleading.

Worst case good for cooking! 😇

yeah i don't drink but buy this once a year for cooking. White wine sauce is the best.

when I moved to Australia a few years ago, I accidentally opened a Penfolds Grange 1976 for cooking! Since then, I promised to my self I will be cooking with the cheapest wine I can find. According to my calculations(let's say 6 bottles/year), I need another 100 years of cooking to fix the damage :P

You usually need dry whine for cooking, not a sweet Chardonnay.

      • yep, i use cheap french for cooking , they seem to tone down the fruit a bit compared to australian wines ….

May be it's a good idea to try a single bottle for $3.50 first, in-store only

and ALDI always offer cheap wines at $3 anyway

This is a very good chardonnay, not too sweet or oaky. Perfect with prawns and Thai food.

      I do not believe you.

  • Don't forget the cab/merlot is the same price https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_755292/super-saver-…

    • Why not?

      • It's all for him/herself.
