Corsair SF750 750 Watt Platinum PSU $239.65 + Delivery (Free with Prime) @ Amazon UK via AU

231

First post, please be kind.

Was trawling Amazon for a decent SFX PSU capable of running 5950x/3080 and loaded this into my camel x3 price alerts. Still selling for ~300 AUD at places like PCCG.

Would be ideal for an ITX build with high end components.

Mod Update 7th Jan 2021: Price has decreased to $239.65

$30 more for Amazon AU Stock - Local Warranty + No need to wait.

    •

This. Given what the UK are going through I'd take those delivery dates with a grain of salt!

On the contrary, I bought my One Plus 8 Pro from Amazon via UK (maybe a month or two ago) and it was delivered within a week. I was honestly shocked (and pleasantly surprised) at how fast the overseas delivery was!

Amazon UK was faster than Austpost Melbourne to Darwin from Amazon AU lol

I raise you one better $260.10 with eBay Plus, no need to wait with express post

bit exp than I got from scorptec last month, but reasonable price for this one running out everywhere ATM.

  •

Are power supplies really expensive ATM?

    •

      More so than last year.

This is high quality and mini-ITX. Much more expensive than similar quality/capacity ATX

not sure with these guys however there doesn't seem to be in stock yet

      •

They've been "expecting stock within the week" since I started looking in November. They just keep pushing the date back. Don't hold your breath.

I read this post the day after I ordered this from rosman and assumed that I would be waiting forever for it to be delivered. I wasn't too stressed out as I wanted it as a new power supply for a 5950x and who knows when they will be in stock anywhere. Anywho it came today so maybe they are just not good at updating their stock levels?
Can't say on performance as am just opening atm but it does come with sexy braded cables, branded cable straps and a sfx bracket included. Think I had to buy this bracket for like 15 bucks last time I purchased a sfx power supply so small win there.

Just be aware that when buying UK power supplies, it will come with a UK plug cable. You can buy AU plug cables for like $5 at any local pc store.

This is a pretty good SFF PSU to consider… https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/power-supplies/rackmount... Gold rated not Platinum but the efficiency between the 2 is tiny. Over 70 amps on the 12v rail so could easily run a 5950x and RTX 3090 overclocked ok. 10 Year warranty on the Cooler Master and 7 year warranty on the Corsair if that matters to you.

This one is definitely better. Thanks.

Wouldn't say definitely better, but definitely a good alternative. AFAIK doesn't include braided cables like the SF750 does.

    •

Good PSU with one caveat - a GPU with high power requirements may be enough to spike the PSU load to a point that the fan will spin up to 75%. This is definitely the case in my system, and just hitting the Start button will cause a temporary (but significant) increase in fan noise.

I would rather pay the extra for the 100% australian warranty, especially true for power supplies.

  •

Buying though amazon.com.au you still have all your legal warranty rights.

  •

    I don't get it, I paid $249 for local stock - CPL.

    •

Now $259. I'd still prefer to buy locally.

    •

Great PSU anyway, running my 5900x and 3080 Strix no worries.

    •

prices are higher due to shortages

  •

For some reason my link now directs to a page for SF450?!

    •

Still showing as SF750 for me

  •

    239 umart before.
