Just FYI - Lebara uses Vodafone network - which may not be the best in some areas.

I had a hard time using Kogan (also uses Vodafone network) for making or receiving calls in Parramatta. Internet was perfectly fine.

Thanks for this, I was just about to ask which network. I'm a few weeks away from finishing my 12 months with Boost for $300 for 240GB so this Lebara one looked like a good deal, but no way am I touching Vodafone. Boost is with Telstra and it's been great.

Same here… I am thinking of jumping on Optus for 6 weeks in the meantime.

If a JB Telstra deal pops up - the famous $59 per month for 12 months with 80 GB data PLUS $500 JB Gift Card then I shall join that.

I live in Castle Hill and Telstra is awful in my pocket of the suburb. Never had such a problem with Vodafone.
My Boost plan expires in a month. Thinking of jumping to this one instead.

  • Can anyone comment on the customer service? Good deal and I'm thinking of porting from Kogan.

    • So far good. :)

this or $169 boost get 200GB for a year also free intl call?

  • i wish boost is doing like lebara with the data, give us month by month and rollover not the whole thing for a year…..

    • To each, its own.
Similarly, earlier the Popular $14.90 plans by Kogan and Catch Connect,
Kogan used to give 20GB per month for 3 months.
Catch Connect used to give 60GB from Day-1 for 3 months.

You can set a Data Usage on your phone which helps you track your usage, and it may also be used to shut off your data if you reach the limit. This works well, in most phones.

    • Like djoz says, you can set up a monthly limit on Android phones, possibly also on iOS. Since it's through your phone OS you can set it to whatever limit you want, and when it gets to the end it will pop up a notification to ask you if you want to continue and go over the limit or cut off the internet. Except if you run out, you won't get extra data for the rest of the month at a slower "shaped" speed like some internet providers do.

  • Seems like a really good deal seeming I paid $150 for 120GB over 365 days with Optus around 10 months ago which was considered a good deal back then.
