    Seems to be RRP?

    • +8

Yep, and $120 more than normal Ducky One 2 Mini's

        • +13

          ever heard of a bargain?

  • +18

    ozreleases.com.au

    • +1

Year of the ox is coming soon.

        • +5

Supply must outstrip demand if year of the rat is on sale weeks before year of the ox.

I've got some 2020 calendars going cheap if you are interested. ;)

  • +13

    Good if you are 13

  • +5

    What's the deal?

    Where's the discount?

    • +22

I understand it's his first post, but this isn't what OzBargain is for. There's no deal here, just a RRP keyboard.

        • +4

Are you a bot or an actual person lol

  • +14

i'm not gonna lie that looks kinda tacky, especially for the $300 pricetag which is a bit rich….

    • +1

Yeah thats got to be one of the worst Ducky keyboards I've seen…

  • +3

Returned my Ducky One 2 under RMA as it would lag and stutter when attached via powered USB hub. Completely unusable. Very disapponted,

    • +1

      How about without hub?

      • Yeah often the usb hubs cause a lot of input delay

      • +1

No big issues. My use case required a hub (actually a USB switch so I could share between home PC and work laptop.) I'd tried multiple hubs, with same issues.

    • Had a Ducky Shine barely make it 12 months before dying… moved to Leopold and been a very happy 2 1/2 years

  • +3

Seems like RRP, where is the bargain?

  • +8

    Oznotifyofoverpricedkeyboards

  • +3

Would rather buy 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD lol

  • +6

    Massively overpriced keyboards.

  • +5

$300 plus PCCG's infamously high postage cost : for a 60% board with the styling and font on the keycaps seemingly designed for kids.

I don't understand why people rave about Ducky, I bought their early k/boards before they even have the "Year of the X" stuff and its a competent product but nothing spectacular, and overpriced.

  • damn. put some pictures on keys and charge $300
    i'd want a whole pc for $300

  • -5

Guess ozNotify should be a real thing lol. Maybe this is why lurkers lurk.

  • +2

I would much rather pick up NK65 awaken edition on daily clank than this.

  • dual-layer PCB

That's a really odd thing to put in the specs. Might as well say it was auto-routed for optimum trace length too.

Oh, and RRP + postage, etc, etc

    • +7

      Why are you mad though?

      • +19

Because nobody has ever heard of limited runs…

  • +4

Free salt in the comments, is that a bargain ? :P

  • +1

Included with the keyboard is a mega-sized deskmat, additional keycaps, keycap and switch puller, and a switch keyring.

  • +2

Apple or Nintendo product? Rrp fine. Anything else? Negs. God ozbargain is funny sometimes

    • +3

      Or playstation 5/ xbox series x :)

      • +1

Yep also ozbargain hivemind protected deals

        • -1

I think it also depends on the demand and market value for the product. For the PS5 or Xbox Series X, the actual going rate is above RRP since it’s sold out everywhere. For this product, demand is low and the current going rate is RRP. Nothing special here so no bargain

          • @FireRunner: rrp shouldnt be a matter, as rrp is arbitrary. low stock deals have their own forum page. perhaps a 'not low but limited and not on discount' will one day exist

            • @belongsinforums: I've always thought "normal price" items should be a forum post rather than a deal. Like a PSA for those interested in said product. Perhaps a forum post for say the PS5 when a store has stock which those are interested in can subscribe to new comments. At the moment we've got posts for items which are in pre-order at full price with no ETA being posted as deals which is crazy in my mind but they appear to be popular though so unlikely anything will change

              • @FireRunner: Yep. Mods have said that as long as enough people pos vote, the rules of the site don't matter

  • +4

Seems to be a Limited Run, however ALSO at RRP for said limited run.

    No bargain listed unfortunately.

    • Whatever happened to 'if you're not interested in the deal move on'?

      • +1

I totally am, just none was listed.
Thats entirely what the plus minus system is for.

Otherwise its just an advertising site, not a bargain site.

        • id like to see you try this on a ps5 deal rofl

  • +3

for that pricetag, just go custom make it yourself. More fun

  • +2

Make a custom keyboard with that money…

  • +2

Being sarcastic won’t help you to get customer, op

    • +1

ok. please kindly note that I am not affiliated with the product.

  • Looks cool to me, but not $299 cool :) - ive had a ducky shine keyb for many years, still working great!

  • You could probably build one yourself at this price

  • +1

Few people saying you can build one at this price - checking out custom kits on kbdfans and they all seem to be > $299 AUD when you factor everything in?

    • true.

  • limited run at rrp =/= bargain

    • +1

Thanks, got the idea from all the **** above.

    • I can prove to you that that's false with many standing deals at rrp

      • +3

I don't think those other rrp deals should be posted either tbh

  • I don’t see value in this even at RRP

  • +2

    Is this a limited run?

    • Yes, there are only 2020 units worldwide.

    • I see what you did there :-D

  • Wow it's a limited run for a bargain $299!

    Not

  • +1

So because you didn't get the positive feedback and upvotes you were after, you decided to delete almost the entire description and insert a snarky comment instead.

    Stay classy.

    • +4

Haha I just checked revisions. I feel bad for op. Imagine if you were a new user, saw consoles and Apple products get posted at rrp on a weekly basis, then decided to post this because it's also stock limited and new. Then you get barraged with neg votes from people who this deal clearly isn't a aimed at. Then a veteran further insults you.

      • +1

I think OPs mistake is that they're taking negs on the deal as if they're negs on themself. It's honestly nothing personal, and if he took the time to explain then people would actually appreciate it. I posted my first deal and the retailer ended up being trash so I just agreed with the comments saying it was a shit deal, what can you do.

        • +1

Pretty sure this will be OPs last deal thanks to an unnecessarily aggressive 'community'.

        • True. It was unnecessary for me to react.

          • +1

@sss9660: You're doing a good job putting the time and effort in to post deals, especially for niche stuff which we otherwise wouldn't see. Some people will appreciate this deal and others won't. As long as someone gets something out of it you've benefited the community. Don't get dissuaded. Ozbargain has people from multiple age groups and backgrounds, different things will appeal to different users

            • +1

              @Ibz: 100% agree. Thank you.

  • +1

    No discount offered.

  • No way I will be paying extra for this ugly design

    • No worries. I ain't forcing you lol

  • +1

Whilst this is not a bargain, and the aesthetic is not really to everyone's taste. I actually really like the look of this collectors edition. Thanks for posting.

    • No problem and yes, I agree with you.

  • Do yourself a favour and get a Leopold, after a lot of research i finally left the mainstream brands and got an actually quality keyboard…Ducky is still way better than Corsair, Razer etc, and used to be almost on par with Leopold but I hear their quality control has slipped a bit in recent years…Sure Leopold doesn't have RGB if that really matters to you.

  • +1

I think it's a nice keyboard. It's the first keyboard that Ducky released that's hot swappable (if I remember correctly), and I thought the whole graffiti aspect was a nice touch. I think these would have the newer Cherry switches with Hyperglide technology (the newly improved 100 mil actuation tested vs 50 mil from previous switches).

Don't take the comments too personally, I think posting something RRP is opening a can of worm and a lot of the ones that people tend to let slide/like are ones that are not niche products that's been out of stock everywhere (i.e. PS5 and XBX). Even they get negged a lot. This keyboard unfortunately was a niche product that people who are not into keyboards wouldn't likely buy.

    • +2

Thanks for the positivity. Yes, I understand.
