  • Anyone own this? Much lag in daily regular use?

Decent value phone. Have had mine since this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/584072

Occasionally camera a little slow to load up but other than that very happy.

      • Great thanks.

I have owned this phone for 3 months. I cant overstate how good this phone is for the price. It is made even better when you install GCAM, especially the latest version that was ported from the Google Pixel phones. Night and Day difference between the stock camera app.

I use mine frequently, and I charge once every 2 days. Comes with screen protector applied and a simple clear case as well.

If there is a negative, I find that sometimes I experience lockups when using chrome. Other than that I cant make any more complaints given the bang for buck for the $$$.

    • Bought 2 for my sons and they are very happy with them. They watched a lot of videos on them and so far they have no complaints.

    • I had this and upgraded it to a poco x3.
Not surprisingly, the poco is a step up in performance.
If you're coming from a flagship phone, this will feel slow but it is quite usable if you're not a heavy user.
You'll need to "lock" some apps in memory to stop them being aggressively killed by the task manager. I had to do this with Nova launcher.

If you’re coming from a 4-5 year old flagship (especially Apple - i.e. 6S onwards), it’ll feel slow. Things like taking a while to load the search bar in Google Maps, choppy animations/delays when multitasking, freezing in Chrome etc are quite common when I was trialling it. No app crashes though (4GB RAM is nice compared to other budget options with 2-3).

Battery life is phenomenal, camera is decent and the screen gets very bright - it’s a great value phone but don’t expect groundbreaking performance.

    • Yes

  • Does this "Version" have Band 28?

    • It works with Boost network. So I am thinking it does support.

      • Thanks, But working on Boost doesn't necessarily mean it has B28. I have a phone without B28, but still works on Boost, as Boost (Telstra) uses: 4G Bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 28

    • The one i bought from office works has 28

Android 11 Colour OS 11.1 have just been released on this also. So far so good, chrome seems to crash less. Transitions look nice but teeny bit slower.

    • Not sure what your use case is but I find that Colour OS, in particular 11.1, negates any notion for me to install a third party launcher. Its like Oppo had listened to users and made an OS that genuinely tries to improve on stock without being overly bloaty. I never thought I needed 3 types of Dark Mode but was proven wrong in this release :)

I'm experiencing the same as yourself. new transitions look awesome, maybe a blink of the eye slower but I keep circling back to the price and cant help to think what a an awesome bit of kit it is for that price.

+1 for sure. I use the app tray version. I need to try dark mode clearly.

Although I am coming from a very old Moto G5 plus (same RAM!, slower processor) and still miss the Moto OS. The lock screen notifications on Moto kill the Oppo's version (no unlock needed for moto) and the 'shake-shake' torch is the best gesture implementation EVER. I miss the torch everyday to the point where I will have to get a moto again at some point. I paid $175 for this Oppo and VFM is unbeatable.

  • Will Officeworks price match against Amazon?
