    • Bunnings hardware aisle, complete with no staff to answer your questions and parts organised according to a secret randomised system based on chaos theory.

Have to hand it to Bunnings marketing making people clamour over all this rubbish “hail corporate” products.

    • +1

To be fair a lot of little kids spend a considerable amount of their life at Bunnings. They even made a Bluey episode for it. Kids actually genuinely think this is cool

      • That's even sadder.

  • +1

    aldi rrp products weekly

  • +2

Makes fun of RRP products but then goes to post said products….

    Yikes

    Is this Lego?
Or would it compatible with Lego?

  • +2

    Waiting for the Hammerbarn version.

  • +2

Bunnings Warehouse…where hooking kids at the lowest possible age is just the beginning.

  • +6

The quality of the Bunnings 'Lego' sets are terrible. Worse than any knockoff Lego brand I've ever seen.

  • +4

I finally bit the bullet and registered, just so I could upvote OP's audacity and sense of humour.

    • This guy gets it!!!

      • +2

No sarcasm indicator says to me, rightly or wrongly, you have only "got it" after reading the comments

        • +1

Please stay tuned for the next Bunnings branded lego-style collectible / console deal!

          • @therealoptimus: The Bunnsole? Play games while the Bunnsole keeps your onion bottomed sausage in bread warm!

Time to take the kids to Christmas Island..

  • +5

Inferior Quality, save your dosh, oh and it's at RRP. No thanks

    • +1

This is currently beating the Lego current legitimate deal LEGO Creator Expert Flower Bouquet 10280 or Bonsai Tree 10281 $69 (RRP $89.95) @ Kmart in upvotes votes even subtracting the negs lol .

      • +3

Bit of a leap to compare a $10 truck of an Australian brand to the $69 Lego bouquet.

  • The strange thing about this product is, Bunnings don't even have prominently branded trucks that I can recall?

    • Welcome to marketing.

  • +4

Buy a proper Lego set. This is a knock off.

    • So you’re saying Neo Brix isn’t real lego?!?!

    • For inflated Brand name prices? I think not!

    • Buy a real bunnings truck. This is a knock off.

  • +6

Wow just look at the double standards on this website.
Allowed to post RRP xbox and playstation consoles? Why of course and nary a neg shall you see!
Allowed to post RRP bunnings truck? Hell no! Despite previous bunnings rrp listing for a $1 mini measuring tape which received no negs at all https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/595392

    ?

    • +3

You must be new here ;)

      OzB is a fickle universe.

    • +1

Quite a few negs are about the quality of the product.

    • +1

Double standard is the middle name of OzBargain

    • Allowed to post RRP bunnings truck?

Well the good news it is since the deal is still posted up it appears the mods have ruled that in the end you are allowed to indeed.

  • +1

    "Collectables"

    Bwahahahahahaha…

  • +1

Already picked up one this morning. Paid with Bunnings gift card purchased at 10% off during Zip money super Saturdays last month.

  • +1

I reckon this is more of a bargain than an XBsX or PS5.

A well designed lego truck for 10 bucks.
    Bargain.

A device that is hard to get, is just that, hard to get, not a bargain.
It's a great score if you get a limited XBsX or PS5 but they are less of a deal or a bargain than this.

    • +3

It's not well designed though. The Bunnings store set shows that through its poor quality stickers and bricks and how you construct it. Plus this doesn't even look like a Bunnings truck.

  • +2

Thanks Op. Tmr I will post a full priced masking tape because I think every OzBargainers should have one. A full priced item with free advertising should not be allowed. Even more so for bloody bunnings

    • +4

Please ensure to grab a PS5 and Xbox at the same time.

      • -2

whataboutisms everywhere here and it's flawed logic… I can completely understand why folks would post it because there was a limited supply and a 'leg up' from the populace by staying informed and securing stock.

This product isn't well made, isn't a bargain and isn't in limited supply/high demand. Purchased this for my nephew and was bitterly disappointed.

    • I am eagerly waiting to find out which tape I should buy.

  • +1

Should be in the forums. This post is no more than a PSA. It is not hard to find which is the only reason something that's rrp should be a deal.

  • Pass…….. The Evil Bunny already sucked enough money out of me for building supplies.
(even my power pass had to get replaced because over use)

  • Should be in the forums.

    • +3

Whoa up turbo. You’ve positived voted an Xbox S deal. Can’t have it both ways my friend.

  • Where are these stocked? At the front of the store with the other branded merchandise?

  • What are the other 4 collectables?

    • Forklift and Bunnings semi trailer truck that I think is the highlight . Both of them are die cast .
One other block in the thread .

      • +1

New LEGO-style collectible to be unveiled each month. Please stay tuned for each one as it looks like this is so very loved by each and every member of the ozbargain family. I will make it my mission for these to be posted ASAP to help keep the ozbargain family hunger at bay.

  • +2

This is just marketing/advertising? No actual bargain.

  • +1

Ah yes, the iconic bunnings trucks. Really couldn't imagine the world without them…

They should be giving these things out for free at the checkouts.

  • +1

I think this is straight marketing, not a bargain.

  • Now waiting to see it advertised on FB marketplace for double the price, like I saw the Bunnings warehouse at $60 recently.

  • +1

    How is this a bargain??

    • Because reeeeee

  • +1

ozAdvertisement… Credit to you, op. It’s getting the votes. If it’s good for one RRP item then it’s good for all.

  • $10 is a bit high.
I guess $7 more reasonable for ~110 pieces non-Lego bricks.

  • +1

If it's not discounted, free, or come's with some bonus at the normal price, then how can something posted at the RRP be a bargain

  • +1

    Definitely not a bargain.

  • +1

    wowe i want

  • -1

Positive vote from me to help speed up the devolution of the site into useless RRP clutter so the mods are forced to do something about this rather than sitting on their hands and pretending it's the community's problem.

    • They banned firearm deals because the perpetually offended kept screeching about pictures of firearms being scary or inappropriate or something.
If you screech enough you might get your way.

      • +1

Ahh the old gun removal. Sad that alcohol makes the front page daily yet is attributed to as high as 6000 (depends on the source) deaths per year here in Australia. Rifles and pistols are more heavily regulated with many times fewer deaths (209 in 2012/13 seems to be the most recent info) but hey let’s get rid of the recreational item ‘only’ obtainable by licensed, sound of mind users.

Only is in quotation marks for obvious reasons.

        • +1

We should stop posting cars too seen more deaths occur from them!

      • Problem? I gave this deal a positive vote :)

  • Saw this at bunnings today, it should be $5, they also have the Bunnings warehouse brick set as well, definately not worth the $30.
Waiting for them to put them on clearance.

  • +1

Some other OzBs would argue that it's more expensive to make this at home because you would need an expensive 3D printer so it saves your thousands of $$… but not me. This is not a deal. It's a cheap form of advertising.

  • +1

RRP. Low quality bricks. Poor design. Knock off of LEGO. Take your pick.

  • +1

less plastic junk, less RRP deals

  • +1

    No bargain, just rrp.

    • Agree, not a bargain

  • +1

You acknowledge it's not a bargain if its RRP and then post it anyway…

    • +2

      Are you ok?

    • +3

Wrong he acknowledges that RRP has some bargains so OP is joining the party :)

  • +1

    Cheers OP.

  • +2

How is this a “LONG RUNNING” deal when its only just been released recently?

    • +2

long running in this sense doesn't mean it's been running for a long time but rather the deal doesn't end at all or for a long time. As this is RRP, it will always be this price (baring any increases due to inflation or no longer in stock due to being discontinues) so it is a long running deal.

  • +3

It may be RRP, but compared to other comparable products (i.e. Lego trucks), $10 could still be considered a bargain.

      • That aren't Bunnings trucks though. I plan on picking one of these up on Saturday even though I think it should be a little cheaper. I'm willing to pay a little more purely because it's a Bunnings truck.

  • Shit bricks

  • +2

Upvoted because OP admitted that it wasn't actually a bargain.

  • -2

With the monopoly and profit Bunnings had , especially recently, they should be giving this away with purchase, not asking me to pay $10 for one!
